I'm also looking forward to both this and the forthcoming RPG
As an old L5R player, who dropped that game during the days of the dual statting, I'm looking forward to running some Asian-flavored Savage adventures.

Regarding the RPG, you should have a blast with it. It handles about any archetype you can think of quite handily and there are enough provinces and rivalries that you should be able to place the focus of the game wherever you see fit. Keep in mind that Kurosawa flicks were a big influence of how I wanted the game to feel in play.
The Showdown set has somewhere around a hundred different troop types if memory serves correctly, including kikai, crazy bears, and pig oni among them. I really enjoy playing Art of War and we look forward to sharing all the fun!
Take care,

Looks like it's going to be a great game and setting.
Looking forward to it, Sean. _________________ Lee F. Szczepanik, Jr.
