Hi all,
I know many of you know about the great work Tom "BluSponge" Harrison has done with his library game over the years. http://blusponge.blogspot.com/
Recently he contacted me and asked if I would be interested in putting the results of his adventure writing competition in an issue of Shark Bytes. I answered with a resounding "Yes!" to the point where I'd like to put out a special youth issue, where all or at least most of the submissions are by youthful Savages.
I already have one other article (from my son; nepotism gets you everywhere) on expanded dragonkin.
If any of you out there have younger Savages whom you'd like to reward with seeing their name in print, send it my way.
I imagine it will be a single issue, since I'm not really going to try to fill it out so completely, and I hope to have it out before Christmas as a "Special Issue"
Articles specifically about playing with kids are also welcome.
Characters, especially with drawings or descriptions, mini-adventures, house rules, etc. are all good.
If possible, I'd like to have all submissions by December 12 to meet the Christmas deadline.
Just doing my part to support growing the community from the ground up, so to speak. _________________ Lord Inar

Great idea, Marc!

Maybe we could make it a "Shark Nibble?" Seems appropriate.
I can't wait until my 4-year-old starts gaming. I've been trying to get him to stop crashing up his Cars cars and tell me what they're saying to each other. Y'know, basic role-play and all that. _________________ Matthew Cutter

Yeah. That kinda takes awhile, but you have to indoctri-er, encourage them early.

You know you've arrived when your son says (as mine does now) "I'd love to play a Savage Worlds version of that" for every book or movie he likes! _________________ Lord Inar

My daughter loves to play make-believe (i.e. roleplay). However, she hasn't yet adjusted to the idea that she shouldn't be able to make the rules up as she goes so that they benefit herself to the exclusion of anyone else. If she ever gets past that, I plan on making a Savage of her as quickly as possible.

Hi all,
I just got I think the last of BluSponge's game competition entries.
I have a nice piece from Arbor Production promoting a new program and a few pieces (art and an article) from one of my sons.
Mind you, there is no real requirement that this be "polished" on the contrary, the more the gaming can be seen from a youngster's point of view, the better! _________________ Lord Inar

Just FYI, we are looking at having another competition in April if we can manage it. And if so, we'll certainly have more nibbles to send Inar's way.

I don't know any young savages to contribute, but how would you feel about some special "Kid" edges and hindrances, or PC and NPC profiles of Kid characters for different settings? _________________ ***LOADS OF NEW DESIGNS!!***
