I've been wanting to introduce Savage Worlds to one of my gaming groups. Since my Saturday group has a few old school Deadlands players, I decided to try Deadlands Reloaded a go. So I printed out some records sheets and a one-shot adventure ("Daddy's Boy") from the WWW site and had my players gen-up some characters.

All in all, we had a really good time. The DL vets liked the speed of the new system while the newbies had no problem getting into the game. This was done more or less on the fly, so we were forced to use fantasy miniatures to represent cowboys and such. Next time--assuming there is a next time--I'm digging out the Wild West figs.
