I like how Veronica mentions "...screaming in space".
Well, I've already taken the advice Clint has given, and I am combining Slipstream and Deadlands. I've already written a short thesis statement for it in this General Chat forum. There, I asked what I should call this combo. I finally found the name for it; it was there in my imagination all along.
So to explain, we got Space Pulp, and we got Weird Western. A Weird Space Western. So...Slipstream: Weirdspace. And yes, there will be a new concept called Weird Space in my version of this setting. I have no clue what it is yet, but man, can I pass up a name like that. So far, I got...horrornauts, and something like super fast-something like hyperspace-something like the hunting grounds...and that is it.
I'll keep peoples posted.
Also, I am freeked for the New NE. Super duper Clint. _________________

Pretty much all the archetypes you could imagine from either setting, put them into a chromed-out mixer, set to genre mash, and blend until you have the texture you want.
Liberally pour the mixture over six-shooter rayguns, and robohosses with a dash of robots.
Serving size may vary.
Spoilers for either setting follow
No psionics. They all died. Sad, but you have to have something that all those damned souls come from. Setting needs it Manitous. _________________

Having bought Coffin Rock, I'm looking forward to running it at an early convinience for my group...just as soon as they've gone through an adventure to understand what a "deadlands" really is, and what a DL:R hero's job really is.
@Ron Blessing: By the way...I only really follow 2 podcasts: TGTT and A Prarie Home Companion...which may speak volumes.

Ron and Veronica need to be sponsored by the Ketchup Advisory Board.
