I was going to write something like: "Naturally Slipstream and Sundered Skies have an unfair advantage in this poll, because these are the two setting we know to be coming out soon."
But then I noticed that Sundered Skies is not on the List !!! _________________ Please Click: |

Okay, okay. *Sheesh!*
I voted for Scairy Tales because I think it would be a good choice for introducing my daughter (currently 6 years old) to the hobby.

Ummmm.... Scairy Tales ain't gonna be your usual mickey mouse/ peter pan story; read the little intro called 'Hook"...
Of course, it may be a couple three years down the pike as yet...
Too many up there I want, and I want them equally. I'd like to see some work on ScairyTales also but I'll buy any and all of those if and when they come out.
(For hard SciFi I'll Savage the Uplift series, Steve Jackson's done a pretty nice source book for it!)

I'm equally interested in the Pine-box setting (ETU:Degrees of Horror) and The Ravaged Earth Society. But since I could only pick one, I picked the one that I became interested in first. _________________ Chris in Atlanta

I went with Iron Dynasty. Hearing about that setting was like the last straw for me when it came to embracing Savage Worlds. I always liked ROkugan and L5R, but most groups I played with placed WAYYYY too much emphasis on honor and bushido. I knew it was a part of the setting, but I honestly just wanted to duel and lead my clan to glory. ID has all that, plus steampunk, so how could I not love it.
Slipstream is a close second though. _________________ Epic of the Arrows - A Saga of the Untamed Lands |

| I voted Iron Dynasty. Slipstream is a close second. But I just loved the pdf they put out and the whole anime/kung fu flick theme they shoot for. |

I'm assuming only Sundered Skies will be released this year from PEG, but I'm actually going with Empire of Bone. I got a chance to play this game with Randy at GenCon and its very cool. If it ever actually happens I think it'll be a nice surprise for people. _________________ I'm not an adversarial GM. I am a facilitator of awesomeness. - Dr Rotwang |

I have no idea what's coming this year from PEG or the Licensees. the "2008" in the thread title refers to the overall question to not confuse it with the same poll from last year. _________________ Markus

Oh, I know. I was just basing that on the current rate of release.
Its a good thing the licensees are rock solid. _________________ I'm not an adversarial GM. I am a facilitator of awesomeness. - Dr Rotwang |

I don't see Leagues of Adventure (www.legionpublishing.co.uk)
listed as a choice either...
I guess that has fallen by the wayside. Too many similar products now on the market.

I voted for Iron Dynasty. I've been very impressed with what Reality Blurs has put out thus far, and most of my group really likes asian influenced stuff. So, as a good GM, I would want to check out something that my group would probably really like.
That said, it's really hard to pick just one. Savage setting are some of the best thought out and put together setting products I've seen in some time. I imagine a lot of that comes from the rules getting out of your way and letting you tell truly dramatic stories. One can often get one setting, and mine it for great ideas in another. _________________ Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room. |

There is another setting being worked on, called Empire of Silk and Steel, by Legion publishing. I have had the odd sneak peak at this and it looks great

The current plan is to release Slipstream and Weird War II as well. Mind you, stupid crap does happen and various unforseeables could conspire to prevent us from seeing those titles this year. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks.
