In this thread, about a year ago, Sundered Skies "won" the poll, with Slipstream and Weird Wars II as the runners up. (Or is it runner ups?)
Since Skies is due out somewhat soon, I'll leave it out this time.
Once Skies is published and you folks had the time to read it, I'll also ask the question about the most-liked-setting so far.
Last year, that was 50F. With Pirates, Kane, Runepunk and Skies, that should be an interesting competition too.
To repeat the question from last year: Which setting would you buy, if you could buy only one. No second choice, no "I'll take that if...", simply: Which one?
I won't list the Deadlands Plot Point campaign or any companions, since they expand existing settings and are not new ones. So you're free to buy those too. _________________ Markus

Since Shaintar has been out for a few months, I don't really think it is really "anticipated" (but for the moment, it will have my vote in the favorite category ) |

Well, the same thing applies as before: There's the Player's Guide, but not the full setting book. At least not that I'm aware of. And shaintar.info still has a link to "buy the PG", not the full book. _________________ Markus

You should really take a tour at Talisman :)The complete setting has been out since november I think, complete with plot point, bestiary, savage stories, setting info, ... and it's a work of art |

I don't know many of the titles right off the bat, so I went with my gut. I may actually like another setting better, once I know what Red Rising, The Ravaged Earth Society, Scairy Tales, As of Yet Unnamed 12tomidnight setting, Iron Dynasty, Agents of Oblivion, and Empire of Bones are.
Where do you guys find these titles from? _________________ "Happiness is a belt fed weapon." |

| TRES. Its long been my most anticipated setting, and has caused the most trepidation as it keeps dropping off the radar. |

| Had to go with HoE/LC, which kind of feels like a cheat since it's a twofer. TRES is a strong second place for me. |

New to the SW waters, I looked at the list and chose the one closest to Sci-Fi, which appears to be Slipstream. There's not a lot of science fiction settings for the most part, so I've got to do what I can to encourage SF when I have the opportunity.

Actually, there's also Red Rising.
Slpstream is Pulp SciFi or Space Opera. RR is hard SciFi and deals with the Russkies having won the Space Race. _________________ Markus

ok, so I got to pick just one. I got to say HOE. But all the rest the list is a close second. Including Shaintar since im waiting for a hard copy. _________________ Of course I believe in god, Only because evolution confuses the hell out of me. I mean if we came from monkeys? I went with Red Rising.. If I ran that, I'd get a chance to use my, very bad, Russian accent for the npc's. That, and it's a human centric sci-fi, no aliens. Don't get me wrong, I like aliens and all, but keeping just humans makes the choices for the players more about character, than what the alien abilities are. _________________ Always yield to temptation, as it may not pass your way again. |

Red Rising, all the way. Slipstream looks cool, but given the choice... there's a need for some hard sci-fi out there. _________________ Ron Blessing

Wow, that's tough. Red Rising, Scairy Tales, Iron Dynasty and Weird War II are all way up there for me. Not sure I can really pick among those choices.

I voted HoE, simply because I know that's the one I'd actually get to run. It'd be a hard sell on most of the others. My players are a picky lot. _________________ Mike Dukes |
