Okay, so now we have the poll including all the books. Please re-cast your vote. Sorry about the mixup! To give Clint the same amount of prep time, I've adjusted the time limit for the poll down to nine days. _________________ Ron Blessing

Deadlands Reloaded! Necropolis would be a really close second. _________________ When the stars themselves burn out three things will continue kicking a**: Faith, Hope and Love.

I'm going with Rippers. I just got the companion, and its the setting I have the best chance of running sometime in the near future, as most D&D type players can get on board with monster hunting pretty easily.
I'd also love to hear Clint's insight on the setting. _________________ Epic of the Arrows - A Saga of the Untamed Lands |

Based on the vote so far, it looks like you may be getting your wish. Still a week to go, though. _________________ Ron Blessing

I'm all about Rippers right now for my own home game. One of the players in my current group is very D&D-centric so we're trying to break her out of that mold by transitioning to Dungeons & Savages (or maybe it's Savages & Dragons... we haven't decided yet ). But once that move is complete we're going to pry her loose from high-fantasy and dive head-first into the Ripper's plot-point campaign (so this would make an excellent early topic for the Little Black Book!). _________________ -Lone Jedi

How is the transition going?
We found going from D&D to SW fantasy a bad idea. The players remained stuck in the d20 mindset and it showed in combat. Choosing a diferent style of game was voted as "Hindsight best option for deprogramming." _________________ Wiggy

I wanted to go straight to Rippers, but the idea of playing anything that isn't fantasy is virtually unthinkable... apparently... though a brief foray into World of Darkness seemed to play out well for a while (before I joined the group). The "plan" is to start out with something like Against the Orcs, and before we can get too deep into the "why can't we do it like this, like in d20?" I'll be pushing the "and look, in Victorian England the rules here work the same way" and then distract with something shiny, like a vampire
It's a plan, at least. And there are enough people (like me) in this group that are so tired of d20 material-creep (our current DM popped a vein in his forehead last weekend during pre-game prep when it took him 2 hours and 7 books just to put together a Big Bad for us that wouldn't be a push-over) that we expect the transition for everyone else to be very simple. As a worst-case-scenario, we always figure that the D&D game can continue on Sundays and those of us really interested in SW will move a separate game to Saturday. Then, if Sunday should taper off... well... that'd sure be a shame _________________ -Lone Jedi

Some of the settings I already own, and some others I'm not interested in purchasing. I'm on the fence with Necropolis, so I voted for it.
If 50 Fathoms is discussed, Veronica's got to use her pirate voice again. |

My little group has taken to it quite well. One of the players is playing a dwarven warrior, and it took him about five minutes to discover the "wild attack"!
These folks are all long time roleplayers. I ran a one-shot horror pickup for them at a convention as an intro to Savage Worlds, then offered to run a converted Goodman Games dungeon crawl for them. We've had two sessions so far, and I'm getting positive feedback.

I originally voted for Rippers... but that was before the Dread Pirate Vern joined the show. Now I may have to change my vote to 50 Fathoms _________________ -Lone Jedi
