Okay, here's the deal. I need to get my ass WRITING, so this is my promise:
I am going to list products I own or things I will be willing to write an adventure for.
Then, you vote. For the first and second place settings, I will write an adventure and submit it to SharkBytes after someone playtests it.
The adventure will be for 3-6 people. It will have at least one fight in it. It will be fairly short, probably only a couple pages. I may or may not pregenerate characters for it. It will most likely not include new material, unless it's unavoidable (Alternity will need some gear converted, for instance). I will try to avoid using things that are incredibly setting-specific but that's why I'm taking two results instead of one (so more people probably have at least one of the books I'm writing about).
List other suggestions, guidelines, or requests below. Or just talk about what you'd like to play more of.
So get voting. Poll ends in one week, conveniently after my first day of work in the new job. _________________ Proud Savagepedia contributor.

well i voted for savage hell on earth...
even though there is no book out for it
(and the only real resource we have so far is the adventure in testdrive4)
i think it wouldnt be too difficult in regards of setting specific new material.
also i'm really itchin' for some HoE goodness... _________________ ~it's a slow death, oh my, spread your evil wings and fly!~ |

Oww, There were too much options I'd like
IF you'd write an adventure about DL:R ,
Could you write a mostly Western adventure? I play a DL:R campaign with the Weirdness toned down, but most adventures I find are mostly with a lot of the weirdness (except for The Gatling Decision, which is pure western goodness ). _________________ He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. I voted for Necropolis, as I could use another short adventure. _________________ Pineappleleader

How about something sci fi - I was thinking generic sci fi but you could alternity-ify it if you wished, but something that takes advantage of these cos they are beautiful, a steal at the prices and I so need an excuse to use them. _________________ Time will tell. She always does.

Just one clarification, did you mean the Rippers RPG or the actual Showdown/Skirmish rules as the title suggests?

Keee-ripes. And I call myself an Editor.
Let me amend that to say...I have no opinion on setting. That you're sending it to Shark Bytes pleases me greatly.
Tell you what -- if you can develop the GM Wild Cards first, and send them to me, I'll use them to "commission" some original art for the piece. Or you could send a description of a specific scene you'd like illustrated. _________________ Matthew Cutter

Either one seems good to me, but how a about a combo.
You could make a fantasy adventure in a newly discovered province where everybody tries to get rich or die tryin'.

Hmm, realized too late that there was necropolis on the list....
wouldnt have changed a thing on the final outcome though...
hm, DLR and fantasy... unfortunately those are the two i have the least use for...
i'll take a look at them when they come out though...
especially if there'd be some customized art like cutter suggested _________________ ~it's a slow death, oh my, spread your evil wings and fly!~ |
