Ok, it's been a year since somebody last asked this and since then a few things have come out.
So - which setting did or do you like the most? I'll try to fill the poll chronologically. (RPG first, then skirmish games)
I'll set up another poll for the most anticipated setting as well in a minute
Note: I'll put Shaintar under the most anticipated, since so far there's "only" the Payer's Guide out and I'd say the setting is complete after the GM part has been published as well. So no offense Sean _________________ Markus

I put none.
Although I like to read the various SW settings and "steal" the crunchy bits that apeal to me, I've never actually run any of them. Odd, eh? I'm too busy running "conversions" and homebrews in between finishing TRES... |

Absolutely none taken, and it's a completely appropriate choice.

low life. It is the one that surprised me most, I love running it, I dearly want to play it, it is so far up my ally (oo-err missus) it had to extend the ally itself so it could get further up there. And it is by far the prettiest book yet.
Whats not to love?
And it had some pretty stiff competition on every front. _________________ Time will tell. She always does.

Deadlands is my all-time favorite game, but I didn't choose it. I don't see it as an original SW game, as I've been with it from the days of yore known as the beginning of Classic.
Rippers was my first campaign and the game that turned all my players into Savage junkies, but I still couldn't choose it either. After a year of player Rippers and some modern excursions to Pinebox, I have seen all the system can do and find myself currently running a converted D&D game which I'm loving. Actually, my favorite setting will probably be my Savage Republic Commandos I've been working on forever.
Savage Worlds handles Star Wars perfectly, but a Weird Wars take on the Clone Wars was too great a temptation for me. So that's my current project set for the Cons and my favorite. _________________ Mike Dukes |

I picked 50 Fathoms, 'cause it is the first official Setting I've used for Savage Worlds.... and 18 months later, we are still having a blast in the setting.
Deadlands will always be a family favorite.

I wasn't into RPing in the heyday of Deadlands, so Deadlands Reloaded coming out now that I have become an RP addict is great. I voted for that, but 50 Fathoms is a VERY close second. Its a setting I would run over and over again, as it has so much potential and really FEELS like a living breathing world. I love Rippers to death too, and I could see playing games with it outside the Plot Point, but it doesn't have the exploration angle that 50 Fathoms, and to a lesser extent Deadlands, has. _________________ Epic of the Arrows - A Saga of the Untamed Lands |

I really can't decide between 50 Fathoms and DL:R, so I haven't voted. I'm a big fan of superheroes, but haven't gotten to play NE yet, so can't really evaluate it yet.

It was hard for me to not choose Low Life. I've easily had the most fun as a player in Low Life games that Andy has run himself. More fun than any other game I must admit. And if Andy lived under some fungus in my spare bathroom and would come and out run the game for me whenever I wanted, I would have surely picked that. But... since he doesn't, I think that the game would never be the same without him! _________________ Chris in Atlanta

Come out, you cowboys and knights, I know you're around! | I actually enjoy a very entertaining and exciting Necropolis campaign, and do enjoy our DL:R campaign, but it was EN what brought "the band" back together. We have called our old D&D/AD&D pals from school and university to play in EN, and many came. It felt like the old times again. Jokes. Die rolls. Pizza. More die rolls. Just plain fun.
EN is the setting I like the most for bringing back the good old feeling.
(And I can hardly wait for EN2 to be available.)
DL:R and even more so Necropolis managed to recruit NEW Savages from very different gaming backgrounds.
I'd voted for them, were multiple votes allowed. |

Deadlands is my favorite setting ever. But if I force myself to look at just DL:R in a vacuum and ignore all the classic stuff, I've got to say that NE is a more impressive book.
I also can't comment on 50F, ToD, Necropolis, Rippers: THW, Low Life, or Modern Ops 'cos I have yet to purchase and read them, let alone play them. |

I'm with you on that one. I'm still deeply rooted into Classic, too.
And my vote went to Necessary Evil, because I love supers, I love the story, I love the twisted angle of playing villains... The setting just totally rocks IMHO. _________________ "If you think I'm crazy, you should see the people I'm locked up with." - Steamdriven

I still run DL: Classic, so DLR was right out, and there are other reasons too, but this isn't the place to go into it.
I voted ToD because Teller did an awesome job with it, and I REALLY enjoy the games I get to run in the setting. _________________ David Sumpter

Why are "Rippers" & "Rippers - The Horror Wars" considered two different settings? _________________ -TED-

I voted for lowlife, though DL:R and 50 fathoms are very close in the running.

My group plays home brew, but I had to vote for Lowlife.
Never enjoyed reading a game so much. Just wish someone would run it so I could play it. 8-[ _________________ You'll get used to it... or you'll have a psychotic episode. ~ Zed, MiB |
