Officially, only "Semi-auto" weapons can double tap. Many wpns are listed as Auto or 3rb with also have a single shot setting, that setting is semi auto.
In the real word, an M-16 can double tap just as well an any semi-automatic wpn, officially, can such wpns in Savage Worlds double tap.
--------------
also in the real world, most machine guns (M60, etc) don't have a semiautomatic setting, they can only fire fully automatic. One exception is the M2. Officialy, in SW, can all weapons fire single shots? |

Sure. Typically, an Autofire weapon in single shot mode would by definition be firing Semi-Auto.

Officially, I'd say it depends. Mostly on two things, the group and the setting. If the group doesn't care about such detail in the game, then I wouldn't worry about it. If they do, it's easy enough to designate.
Also, there may be settings where such designation is important. For instance, in Deadlands: Reloaded it's noted that gatling weapons can only fire on full auto. It's kind of an important point in the setting, so it's there.
Not exactly a concrete answer, but I hope it helps. _________________ Clint Black
