I was just wondering how you would handle large scale infernal or mad science devices such as vehicles (air ships), bases (tardis) or other large scale (or even small scale) devices that mad science could be used to build and fit the flavor but would require some kind of external power source (like a imprisoned demon) or quickly burn thought any but the most experienced inventors power points.
Also how is it handled if a mad science device is willing sold, does the edge used to acquire that device simply become voided or could the builder given time and resources construct a replace, basically treating the old device as if was lost or stolen?

By the core rulebook, Mad Science does not create such devices. Any such rules would have to be related to a specific setting. Deadlands: Reloaded for example explains how the construction of such devices would take so much time as to be outside of any actual game play, and thus rules are unnecessary.
For opinions and ideas, I'd recommend reposting the question in SW General Chat.

If the item is lost or stolen, then it typically ceases to work because the scientist is not with it to give it the constant attention and fiddling maintenance that it needs.
In short, the scientist gets one device per Power. If a scientist wanted to make a "permanent" device that could be sold, it'd be the same as making an additional device to give away (New Powers on page 77 of SWR), and he would have to take the New Power Edge to make the extra device.
Hope this helps. _________________ Clint Black
