I keep hoping that the Metacreator folks will do up the DLR rules, as I use their program for most of my other SW needs

A task I have been slowly working on is "Version 2" of this character creator. Mainly its a clean-up of the Data sheet into "SW product sections".

It will allow for other users to easily add in the material from the other SW products, or even to easily add in their own custom material.

Hopefully, once I have finished it, volunteers will come forward to complete the other SW products and submit their info to me for inclusion on the sheet. I do have the Rippers and Low Life products and will eventually add them to Version 2. I suspect Low Life will be a fun challenge Smile

Version 1.7 available.

Fixed a display error when Elderly Hindrance was chosen.

Changed how edges/hindrances display on the modifier areas of the Character Sheet.

Version 1.8 available.

Thanks to Forlorn for making me carefully scrutinize the Chi Mastery selection I found some errors in the sheet still. Chi Mastery was a unique element to master due to the powers essentially becoming skills.

It should all work just fine now. Here is how the sheet works:

Step 1
Select "Arcane Background (Chi Mastery)" under Edges... this will give you access to all the Kung Fu Style Edges, and it will allow you to select 2 powers.

Step 2
Select your 2 powers in the Powers section.

Step 3
Select the correspondin Chi (Power) in the skill selection and assign the die you want. A d4 for any Chi Power costs 0 points as you already paid your points to get access to the power when you selected the AB edge or the New Power edge)

Let me know if you see any other problems with this, but I think I finally worked all the kinks out of Chi Mastery.

Umm, last time I checked you still need to buy the d4, though it is a Spirit based skill, so it's easier to raise.

Thanks for picking up on that Seeker. I didn't know that was how Chi Powers / Super Powers were "bought".

Off to do yet another revision #1eek1

First off, bang up job on that sheet. It is excellent. One thing I have a question to though, is when someone takes the Veteran o the Weird West edge, is there a way to put their VotWW Hinderance on the sheet. I did not see one there in my initial glance over. Almost all my players took that edge. They liked the idea of the random chance they got from it, sort of like rolling on the Fate's Table in Legend of the 5 Rings.

Thanks Alex. With regards to the VotWW, I had also thought about that as well, since it is a very frequently selected Edge in DL. I couldn't really think of any "clean" way to bring in a selection for the VotWW hindrance. (The same would apply for Knack).

I'll put some more thought into how I can best do this, as I suspect at least 50% of the characters made probably have this edge.

Version 1.10 Released

The cost for Chi powers has now been fixed.

Selections for VotWW and knack edges has now been added. (These selections will appear under the Harrowed selection towards the top of the Creation sheet, if either of the edges are selected.)

Couple of things...

The scattergun still lists the SBT under notes. That was removed in the errata.

The Shot Tracker formula is off in a couple of ways. First, on all of them it calculates if shots is greater than 1. It should be greater than 0, so it will pick up single-shot guns.

Also, the first slot has the correct range on the data sheet to look at for the information, but it appears it wasn't locked and was then cut and pasted into the other slots, which changed the data range. Basically, the range from the first equation needs in the ones below it, and it works fine.

Thanks for catching those Clint! After reviewing the online errata, here are the changes I have made:

- removed mention of the SBT from scatter gun.
- changed whip damage from special to Str+d4
- upped the AP of Eagle Claw, Superior Kung Fu to 2
- amended the benefit description for Wing Chung, Superior Fung Fu
- changed the duration of Sanctify to Permanent

Shot tracker now shows a marker for single shot guns.

The shot markers should show up correctly for all weapons on the character sheet now. (Thanks for noticing the data range was off -- I only recently learnt that I could just assign a name to the range/array... this has been saving me a whole lot of grief Smile

Version 1.11 is now released.

It seems that in the testing of the sheet, I wiped out the formulas for the first 3 powers that pull in the power name if AB Miracles is chosen.

Fixed.

Version 1.12 released.

The link is working, but it is a fair sized file... especially if you don't have a broadband connection, so it may take awhile to open up. I'll e-mail you a copy though.

Hmm, just noticed something.

If a character has Clueless, it puts a -2 penalty in Knowledge Skills.

Clueless is a -2 to Common Knowledge rolls, not Knowledge Skills.

Wow, did I ever misunderstand that rule. Some how I also missed page 17 with the HUGE letters "COMMON KNOWLEDGE" which explains how the rule is applied.

Thanks again for catching that.

Version 1.13 released.

I love the CharGen! Very complete and easy. Petty, I know, but is there a way to adjust the weight of items carried on your horse?

Also, I was making an elderly character and I noticed that the Elderly hindrance appears on the Creation page but the Attribute penalties don't appear on the Summary.

Thanks!

Any chance for the addition of edges and hindrances from The Flood?
