Congrats, mate!
Apparently, there are more than just telekinetics in this setting, 'cause the way it dominated the vote from day one almost seems like mind control!
And Grubman, your setting definitely deserves to be developed further. As has been mentioned earlier, both the ammount and the type of material that can go into Kinetic is somewhat limited, so I don't think the two settings would take much support away from each other. _________________ Please Click: |

Kinetic is the Shark Bytes Serial Setting!
Congratulations to buddha, to everyone who made the final 6, and to everyone who submitted a proposal. I'm keen to see what people cook up for the setting!
Keep your eyes peeled for an announcement concerning upcoming themed issues, and a call for submissions along with it.
And Jack Ace...if the question begins I wonder if Shark Bytes would be interested in...? then the answer's most likely yes! _________________ Matthew Cutter

I think I can safely say that SB would be interested in ANY and ALL articles that the Savages want to submit! |

Wow! This is so cool!!!
Thanks to everyone! I can't wait to get started! I'm also really looking forward to seeing what the Savages have to contribute!
I was really impressed with the other settings submitted, and I hope they get developed as well. You guys rock!

Congratulations
The following is just an idea for your setting. I was thinking of your setting for some time. We have SW's NE for supers. What if you did yours about people with only one power (not comic book superheroes)?
Have you heard of a new TV show coming up called Heroes on NBC? Here is a link: http://www.nbc.com/NBC_First_Look/Heroes/
Anyway, great job and I look forward to the community's and your contributions. _________________ Read MATTHEW 6:34 & JOHN 15:13 (Holy Bible) |

Doc Halloween,
Yeah, I've been meaning to check out Heroes! And the characters in Kinetic will almost definitely be single power characters. The multiple uses they might come up with for their power, however, is going to interesting to implement in SW. I'll talk more about this later, when I'm not at work!!! But feel free to sling some ideas my way about Kinetic powers! (That goes for everyone, not just the good Doctor!)

P.S. - Cutter XXIII, do you want us to move this discussion to another thread?

I think you should start a Kinetic Development thread. That way you can toss around ideas, throw out subject matter for article ideas, and give teasers of what's to come.
I think it will help people to get motivated and inspired to get involved, and will keep the rest informed as things develope.

I think that sounds like a grand idea! I've got a hellacious three days of work coming up, but I'll get one started on Sunday or Monday! I'll start by posting my ideas about the Kinetics and how I think their powers could work in SW! Anything else y'all are interested in seeing? Lemme know, either here or on the new thread, once it's up!

A Kinetic Development Thread sounds entirely peachy! Sorry I haven't been answering; the wife & I are in the midst of Grandparents Tour Northeast '06, with our son headlining. S'been a little hectic! _________________ Matthew Cutter

No worries Cutter XXIII! Hope you're having a blast!
I'm gonna post the Kinetic Thread right now. I'm not sure if it should go here or in the Home-Brew Settings forum, but I guess we can ask the moderators to move it if needed...

The project has taken an unexpected turn ...I just found out that Metamorphosis Alpha is getting a 4th edition.

Needless to say since MA and Gama World are major inspirations for Erth 2500, and the concept and tone of the original MA is one of my favorite post apocalyptic settings, I'll be waiting to proceed on the project untill I find out if MA4th fits the bill better than I could.
...not to pimp another game on the SW forum, just explaining why the project is on hold. |

Only Buddha can answer that.
From my perspective, Kinetic is dead in the water, unfortunately. Doesn't seem likely to happen at this point. _________________ Matthew Cutter

Interesting how things go.
Everyone voted for Kinetic, and yet it was a still birth.
I think it is another example of what people Say they want, and what they Really want being different.

| To be fair, Buddha not posting doesn't make it a lack of community being Really Interested. But oh well. It was a nice idea even so. |
