I'm venturing into the uncharted territory with my first ever SW game ... figure flats. I like the idea, the low cost, and the wide variety. Pinnacle and a lot of the licensees offer some for their games and they look great.
I know that you can use small binder clips and cool little plastic bases for the bi-fold flats. Binder clips are easily purchased and seem to work well but I can't find the plastic figure flat bases anywhere. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction? |

I do tri-folds, negating the need for bases... _________________ "Anything smaller is just fiddly, and fiddly is not one of SvgW's three Fs..." |

I use Trifolds, but form them into round tubes instead. Again, no stands needed. _________________ Aperture Science:

| Good idea on the tri-folds. I placed an order at the GameCrafter website too. Those look perfect for the bi-fold figures. Thanks guys. |

The thing with Tri folds is, when you designate one side as the back, the triangular shape lends itself to pointing in the direction the character is facing... _________________ "Anything smaller is just fiddly, and fiddly is not one of SvgW's three Fs..." |

Most of them are gathered from other sources (even deadlands characters) But I really love the variety! |

I am slowly building the awesome Okumarts minis (see link below).
http://www.rpgnow.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=3639&term=okumarts
For bases I picked up an old mousepad, I cut it in 2"x2" squares and I made a notch in it. Figures stand up very well, as in the pic below.
I am also thinking about painting in green the bases, but first I have to finish them! |

One Monk has PDFs of printable cardstock bases (http://onemonk.com/bases) in a host of sizes and shapes. I've used them, and they work pretty well.

I just use pennies. The weight on the bottom gives them considerable stability.

You can use 1/2" metal washers, which are cheap and easy. If you use Alea Tools magnetic bases for indicating shaken or wounded, the washers work very well. _________________ "Neal, Your cock game is AWESOME!" - Clint Black, Genghis Con '12 |

I use tokens pasted on 1 inch wood rounds from Michaels. When the npc is Shaken, I flip them.
I like the wood rouns because they are heavy enough not to be blown around by a gamer's exhale but light enough that they won't turn my backpack into a medieval torture device.

Very nice, Heath! The 2nd and 4th ones have significantly better prices than the other 2.
