I remember running the Hero System Champions for years... from first edition on. I loved the game back then but it's too crunchy for my tastes today. _________________

This sounds cool! I always wanted to run a BPRD game, which is similarly to what you are talking about. Be cool to run a game with common BPRD grunts, not Hellboy, Abe, Liz, type characters but the 'minor league' type team.
I even bought the Hellboy rpg back in the day as a resource...

I just finished the first book in the series and have enjoyed it so far. Personally I would go with Other Mike's suggestion of using Agents of Oblivion, as it seems to be a perfect fit.

I don't see any releases mentioned at TVShowsOnDVD.com, a site which tracks all TV show released as Region 1 DVDs. Are these DVDs just recording you made when it was still airing? _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. Ever hear of Bureau 13?
The books were quite cheesy but I believe Tri-Tac made an RPG.
I gotta try out MHI.

I've been working on building / designing a MHI campaigne for my group. Thanks for all the pointers to where to find rules to migrate.
Here's some miniatures I'm going to use for my games.
Hasslefree Miniatures: They have some awsome body armor figures (the White Ops teams for the males, and individual female minis).
http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?category=miniatures~modern-adventurers
For the MCB agents I'm using the agent figures from rogue miniatures.
http://www.rogueminiatures.co.uk/index.php/gun-miniatures.html
For monsters I'm using various D&D minis and Reaper Minis. (this thread from these forums have a lot of good links.) http://www.peginc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34249
I've added a few bits equipment to my game (like Holographic sites, silver slug shotgun rounds) and some edges inspitred by watching 3-gun competitions.
For some insparation out of the MMO video game world, take a look at 'The Secret World' by Funcom. |

| Quote: | | Ever hear of Bureau 13? | Yes. I thought about going that route... just making it more serious... but I like the Agents of Oblivion approach. AoO is an awesome SW supplement... imho. Still might add B13 elements in here and there. Along with some snitched ideas from the Spooks comic-book.
For the armor MHI wears I'd just use the first armor listed in the future list is the SW Deluxe. _________________

As to that RPG form the 90s...it could be Bureau 13, Stalking the Night Fantastic...or...my fav...CHILL. I savaged the hell out of CHILL already and then put the Hell back in for good measure! An editorial decision... _________________ The eternal struggle takes time, Max. |

Just came up with an idea for a playable version of the MHI orcs.
Specialty (+2): Every orc has a skill in which he has an exceptional aptitude. One skill of choice is received for free at d8. It advances as if the linked trait is higher and the rank requirements for Professional, Expert, and Master are waived for it.
Sturdy (+2): Orcs start with a Vigor of d6 instead of d4.
Tribal Bond (-1): An orc is exceptionally loyal to those he considers part of his tribe and will always stick by them.
Unsociable (-1): Orcs are uncomfortable with humans they don't consider fellow tribe members and have a -2 Charisma when dealing with such individuals.
What do you think, sirs? _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. I mean-- The rabbit-- It's a time-tested-- Okay, the rabbit bites.

Here's my take on gnomes (in which I modified something from the old Slipstream Race Generator):
Gangsta (+2): Gnomes start with a d6 in both Fighting and Intimidation.
Invisibility (+3): Gnomes get the Invisibility power (using Spirit as the arcane skill) and ten Power Points.
Short-tempered (-1): Gnomes are -2 in resisting Taunt rolls where their height or resemblance to lawn ornaments is brought up.
Small (-2): Gnomes average 2-3 feet in height and are -1 Toughness. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. I mean-- The rabbit-- It's a time-tested-- Okay, the rabbit bites.

I think that's reflected in their free d6 in Fighting.
I've edited the gnome entry to slip in a lame joke. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. I mean-- The rabbit-- It's a time-tested-- Okay, the rabbit bites.

Well, I wouldn't say they like to, I could however, see one freezing in place on the front lawn if someone opens the front door, but boy is he gonna get razzed for it when he gets back to the club.

and what happans when a dog goes by and relives himself.
that's if th dog doesn't attack since he'd smell not human... or worse like a strange human; and attacks. I've seen crew toys at least that big and a rottwieler playing with a full size bowling ball. _________________ "I'm Hotep" |
