Ok, so yesterday here at MACEWest I was in gleepism's Pirates of the Flowstone game. I was running a VonDan-inspired character Cinnamon Basil, the exotic dancer/consulting detective.

After being on hold for several rounds while airship pirates neared our dirigible, I knew that my first action would have to be spectacular! She is an exotic dancer, after all. Why do anything at all if you don't do it for show as well?

Her first action in combat once the pirates boarded was to draw two keen-edged long knives, dash across the deck, leap the railing to get out onto the balloon canopy where the pirates were, and take two slashes at the first pirate she came to. Gleep let me leap the railing as a free action, so my penalties were: -2 drawing a weapon, -2 running, and, for the offhand attack another -2 (she has Two-Fisted but not Ambidextrous).

On the offhand attack I rolled a total of 10 after the penalties were applied, which was still a hit with a raise. The pirate fell dead!

Anti-anticlimactically enough, the other attack missed.

But it was still a cool opening action!

Let the concept of Sherlock Holmes inspired strippers strike fear into the hearts of airship pirates everywhere!

Wow... I completely missed this post!

I'm glad you enjoyed the character... she's become a favourite of several players. Out of the nine characters available for the scenario, she's always been picked!

It's been real interesting to see what people do with the character... For one thing, she's can be as devastating with Taunts and Persuasion as the other characters are with weapons.

That character sounds great. Any chance of getting a look at the characters. I'm always looking for good pre-gens for con games.

Well, I don't know about "good" pre-gens... Smile

I plan on sharing all the characters, just haven't gotten around to finalizing them and uploading yet. It's on my to-do list. Honest!
