In my searchings on RPGNow, I discovered that Legion Publishing had at one point released three Dime Novel adventures in the vein of the Classic ones that Pinnacle made (they also made a trail guide for Newfoundland). I see that they are for Classic, d20, and "Savage Worlds" (does that mean it's pre-Reloaded?), but I'm only interested in running them for Reloaded.

I like the length of the Pinnacle Dime Novel adventures and was wondering if anybody had any feedback for these ones. Are they worth getting?

I've read through Beast of Fire, but not run it. I'll probably use it when my posse heads up to the Northwest or perhaps as a side plot during the Flood. It is not a "dime novel" like the Deadlands Classic ones, however. It is simply an adventure there is no fiction short story. It has been some time since I looked through it but it involves rival logging companies, rival mad scientists with steam saws, werewolves and haunted groves.

All three are copyright 2004, so they are pre DLR and SWEX. But it's no rocket science to update them to the current version.

The writing and layout is decent for the standard of this time, and there are all maps you need.

The adventures are not exceptional, but worth the money. Wink
