I just finished my first campaign Saturday and am wanting to move to a different system. I have heard good things about Savage Worlds and bought the Deluxe book and the starter books for Hellfrost as I heard it is a unique fantasy setting. However, as I am not a great learner by reading material, I would like to know of places I can find any online games so I can learn and then run my own campaign. Also, does Savage Worlds have a organized play component like RPGA or Pathfinder Society where I can play in some online pickup games to learn the rules quicker?

www.rpol.net has a vareity of Savage worlds games and settings play by post. I'm sure you can find a HellFrost game there.

Not really.


If you'd like to read a good Hellfrost campaign journal, check out the Mistlands Saga. Great stuff.

Fantasy Grounds has a lot of SW support, you might find something there. It will require a small investment unless the GM is running the 'universal' version of FG. I'm sure there are other options including forum play at some sites. You might check Triple Ace's forums since you're interested in Hellfrost.

There's the Explorer's Society - though I think it's more about organizing GMs than play. There are too many settings to make organizing play easy. Wink
