We played our first vehicle combat with airships in the mars setting and we had some questions.

1. When shooting at another ship does a character get a bonus to hit based on the size of the target vehicle?
2. How best does one figure relative speed ( the ships were zooming around each other at great speeds between 80 -120" [ we used 1/20th scale so 80" was actually 4" on the table top])? e.g.:
a.If one ship is flying at 100" and the other is moving away at 120" at about 60 degree angle in front.
b.One ship flying at 100" toward other ship flying 120" perpindicular to the first ship's path?
c. Ship 120" speed closing on ship flying 100" directly in front?
d. ships headed straight for eachother?

Nope, they don't get a bonus to hit his ship either.

Per the book, relative speed really comes up only if the vehicles are parallel or heading directly towards each other (which is effectively "parallel" too).

So A and B would use the full speed of the targeted ship where C and D would not since the ships are parallel.
