Well, that's the good part of starting out in a rural area with modern gamers as players, they don't know what or how it started. That's for another chapter. |

So, I have an unheard number of players signed up for this little event, 13 in all. After printing and cutting a bunch of mini's and condition cards and other stuff, I thought it would be cool to have some weapon and item cards.....so....I created a database with well over 200+ items consisteing of Melee Weapons, Ranged Weapons, Supplies, and Food. Pretty much the every day things you may find in a home, garage, shed, store, or what not. I got them all printed and cut out and inserted into card sleeves. This will make things WAY easier to just hand players their items they may scavenge for with stats printed right on the card. Plus, they look cool too. Here is a small gallery of a bunch of the cards for an example along with a larger one for reference. I may put these up for a free download in PDF version later.

I think I have a HAND CRAMP from cutting over 400+ cards out.
Lee, are these cards something you would maybe be interested in using as a FREE download for WotD material on RPGNow and what not? |

Sure. To be honest, anything you fans make that you want to give away, we'll include at RPGNow.com. Just have to make it a PDF for us, is all (I don't have InDesign, nor any graphical experience).
We have an open-door policy for that, as long as it doesn't bring anything legal into question. For example, the one fan-created freebie that brought a FATE idea over to War of the Dead, I actually wrote Fred Hicks about first (since it would not be OGL) and got the okay . . . which he was happy to greenlight, as long as we didn't charge for it. _________________ Lee F. Sure you could. Could you throw it and have the blade do anything? Unlikely. But that metal handle/sheath will sure hurt! _________________ Lee F. Szczepanik, Jr.

Got the email. I'm about to head to Pennsylvania for my daughter's Summer Academy open-house that she does every summer, so I'll look 'em over this evening. _________________ Lee F. Szczepanik, Jr.

Since someone asked me about a very specific item as they were having some tree cutting done, I made an extra page which includes some more heavy duty items that could just pop up. I can't wait to see someone use the "Wood Chipper" on an advancing horde of zombies or lay the smack down on one with a 250 lb Lawn Roller! What would any zombie outbreak be without a little humor.

If you're going to role-play YOURSELF in a Zombie Outbreak, you might as well have a miniature of YOURSELF!
Here is the staring cast of Outbreak at Outpost 2000 in all their figure flat glory.

| Those cards would be great to print and mount on cardstock, they would be ideal for random loot for players to pick in my game, once i start it. |

Outbreak at Outpost 2000 - Day 1
It was a very good start to this Real-World zombie apocalypse role-playing game as players started out in their local gaming store having fun when sirens started and all heck broke loose outside. As chaos ensued in the form of zombies ripping and chewing apart the panicked masses and random gun fire and explosions, a rogue RV came barreling around the parking lot, rolling over and crashing into the front of the game store, sealing our unlucky gamers in the store like a tomb. Hours later and the mass of flesh beating on the back door finally gave way and spilled into the store while the gamers broke the front glass and wiggled their way through the interior of the RV, emerging on top of its sideways turned front door. Dispersing in several directions, the gamers spy a jet fighter coming in for what looks like an attack run on their very location as they begin to smell gas leaking from the RV. Sitting on a ticking time bomb they look out through the vast parking lot to see a sea of undead shambling in horde clusters when one familiar looking zombie (Trigger) notices the fresh meat and begins to lead an advance of flesh hungry zombies towards the RV. What will happen next? Stay Tuned.
You can see all of the pictures taken from last night's Outbreak at Outpost 2000 in the Surveillance Photos section of TheAgencyStar. I had to use 3 tables to fit the map of the local area on which barely fit in my truck.
p.s.
The weapon and Item cards were such a big help in quickly dishing them out to players when they searched for ANYTHING to use that would help them. It was very funny seeing all my players actually look around the game store to see what they could grab, make and what not. Metal folding chairs, lead pipes, flashlights, backpacks, water bottles, candy bars and pop were the focus inside the game store. It was also a cool hook to throw some of the other better weapons on the ground outside the parking lot, showing the nice shiny picture of the weapon glaring at them, just taunting them to jump down from the RV and try to snag it. One player did try and rolled a 1 on his running die and is now swarmed by the horde. Priceless

Hey folks! Trigger was kind enough to provide all those Item and Weapons cards in a convenient PDF format as a freebie to all Savage Worlds fans.
We thought that was such a fantastic idea, we've put them up for download! Available only at RPGNow.com _________________ Lee F. Szczepanik, Jr.
