|
|
So I purchased the Savage GM Screen with inserts to use in my Deadlands game. When you insert a page it is so tight it hardly looks like and insert, it looks very slick, I love it.
But…
I printed out the Deadlands Reloaded GM inserts and there are 4 inserts, but the screen only has 3 pages facing the DM, so I’m not extremely happy about that. So what I tell myself; I figure I’ll leave the random encounters page out of the screen but near at hand for reference.
But…
I am looking for art to insert on the 3 pages of the screen that face the players. Since I haven’t found any, I tried to make my own by copy pasting pictures from the Player’s Handbook and Marshal’s Guide, but I was not satisfied with the results. The landscape format is great for gaming but difficult for layout. Anyway, is there some DL:R art for the savage world’s GM screen available that I’ve missed. I feel somewhat deceived by Pinnacle since the promotional insert that comes included says "Download full color customized inserts for all your favorite settings – including Solomon Kane, Slipstream, and Deadlands!" and right below that statement is the address www.peginc.com.
I know this is subjective, but after reading that I was expecting that somewhere on the peginc website there would be a section for GM screen inserts, organized by setting, and having 6 pages each. (3 with stats for GM and 3 with art for players). Also, the center art page should have the official logo of the game setting.
Again, I really love the build of the Savage Worlds screen but I am disappointed with the lack of official support (unless I’m simply looking in the wrong place). Any help is appreciated. |

The Pinnacle tradition is to put a couple of the reference sheets on the players' side of the screen. Shooting Irons, and similar things. This stretches out their art supply and makes the screen a useful wall for the players to stare at. _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."

I'm an open-roll person. And, frankly, GM screens usually have very handy information in easy to reference form. Showing the players that information isn't the worst thing in the world. _________________ "I had a whole bunch of advice for you but got ninja'd by newForumNewName. I still bring my HOE: Classic GM screen to games as a player, because of all the handy reference tables it has on it. The only one I wanted that wasn't there was the AV of cover. _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."

Which DLR inserts are you using? I'm in the process of putting together my Marshall Screen as well... |

I thought we had art for the DL screen. Wonder if it got lost in the website update. I'll check into it. _________________ Clint Black

Yes, there definitely should've been art included in the pdf; the one I bought had a map of the Weird West, a preacher shooting a skeleton at close range with a Colt Navy, and three pages of a posse fighting off a zombie horde.
It also came with, like, 8 pages of GM tables! |

That sounds like a must have. Where pray tell did you find that? |

I... am not sure any more.
A few months ago (I think Feb/March region of time), I simply went to the Pinnacle store that was linked on the main page, bought it for like 5 bucks, dl'ed it, and it became mine.
...and now I can't find it. It's not in the store that's on the front page, and I don't know where it went.
It was just named S2P10200S.pdf. It's 13 pages long, with 8 pages of info (everything from shootin' irons to encounter tables in every area of the Weird West), with 5 pages of art.
Mebbe one of the bigwigs here can clarify? |

| The S2 on the front of the file name is a clue: Studio 2 Publishing still has it in their downloads section. |

Been checking the S2 site and haven't found this yet. Is this a purchase item (vice free download)? Link? |
