April 26, 2012

Deadlands has some mighty big plans, pardner, and you won’t want to miss this chat! Matthew Cutter, Deadlands “Big Bug” (Brand Manager) for Pinnacle Entertainment Group, joins us to talk about the upcoming Plot Point campaign book Last Sons, the Savage Worlds miniatures line from Reaper for the Deadlands setting, and he might say a word or two about the products being released after that…

(edited to add latest entry)

We're celebrating your favorite infamous forum admin on his birthday this Thursday in the Back Room Chat Room. Stop by and say hi!

Not that it'll be a surprise, since he reads *everything* on this forum. Cool

Hope everyone's coming by for the chat tonight at 9 p.m.!

I'll be there, watching the NHL playoffs from the corner of one eye and revealing waaaaaay too many super-secret details about Deadlands.

What's the next project about to fall dead from the edge of my desk?? What's the next project after that? Which Classic Deadlands author wrote a "lost" Deadlands book... and just gave us the go-ahead to "relaod" it?? Will the Rangers defeat the Senators???

ALL THESE QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED AND MORE, AMIGOS!

I should also mention we'll have a keg, since "Mom and Dad" won't be available. Wink

Go Senators!

They're the only Canadian team left in the playoffs. My Canadian family would be passive aggressively disappointed in me if I didn't cheer for the Senators. Don't worry though, my SO (timmayg around here) will be on the other side of the couch cheering on the Rangers (like a jerk). Pillows may be thrown. The dog will be judging us silently. It's like the 2010 Winter Olympics all over again. #1boxing_smiley

Oh and we'll be checking out the chat too. Wink

Wait. I can be drunk? That's the main reason, aside from forgetting about it, that I don't try to do these things.

I (ahem) wouldn't know anything about (COUGH) having that problem of "forgetfulness" on Thursday nights. Cool

Tonight it's written on the calendar in my kitchen. Laughing

Last time I went to a Caps game, the woman in front of us turned around to ask which of us was from Canada, because I was singing along with the Canadian anthem. Smile

Nothing but love for Canada, respect for the Sens, and GO RANGERS!

(Give timmayg a shout-out from me!)

It was my first chat at BB, and I had a great time!

The surprise news was that a "lost" Trail Guide written by Steven Long (of Hero System fame) will be coming out at some point.

Manitou Bluff is the current project, and it's a large Legendary adventure. Suggested as a follow-up to The Flood and it will be TPK-level dangerous.

Relics is next in the layout, etc. queue.

I think those were the major pieces of news. The rest was "cutting up". Very Happy

I thought Lost Colony being Reloaded after Hell on Earth gets its due was pretty noteworthy.

True, Tommy, but that's been the plan for the line as far back as I remember.

The chat transcripts for Matt's chat and Clint's birthday chat are up on the website if you missed them: http://beautifulbrainsonline.com/chat-2/back-room-chat-room-transcripts/

Thank you to Matt for babysitting the chat for us on the 26th. Clint's mother had passed away that morning and we were too worn out to join in.

Upcoming chat guests are:

May 3, 2012

Savage Insider, that creative team who does a much better job of letting you know who’s who in Savage Worlds than we do, is in the chat! They’ll be giving away a copy of a Premium Savage Insider! Follow them on Twitter or like them on Facebook to keep up with the latest news.

May 10, 2012

Have you heard of RoleplayDNA yet? It’s the latest podcast/blog production of the dynamic duo, Ron and Veronica Blessing, with the help of friends Justin Suzuki, Ed Doolittle, and Lee Langston.

May 17, 2012

Our good friend Charles White joins us from Fabled Environments with Kevin Rohan from Silver Gryphon Games, one of the newest Savage Worlds licensees, to talk about partnerships in gaming.

Cool. A lost Steven Long classic DL book. He was the author of Law Dogs, at the very least. Looking forward to this one, along with the other books I'm waaaay behind on. Steven is a great guy. In addition to HERO System 5th and 6th, he was one of the many authors of Last Unicorn's Star Trek rpg, as well as the one for Decipher, and the Decipher LOTR game. Of course, you already knew that. I digress.... Wink

It's not. But the stunning lack of recognition produces gloom, despair, and agony on me, deep dark depression, excessive misery...
