Sorry if there is already a thread on this as a cursory glance didn't bring up anything. Wow! Am I seeing things? The new website looks absolutely amazing! You guys really made it look professional. |

Seconded! It's not the one that I knew and love, but I can already see the increased functionality. Nicely done, guys! _________________ Kevin Rohan, Content Director

Very nice!
My only complaint is that when I open the site on the iPad, the menubar obstructs the main banner of the site. Small gripe. I'm sure I'm not the only one to have seen this.

I wonder if that is with the default browser, Safari. Not every site tests against every web engine out there for look/feel. _________________ My Blog of Random Gaming: http://www.daemonstorm.com

Much improvement over the previous site. The only issue I have with it is the feed. Google Reader isn't pulling in the new content, but it's showing me a feed that ended in May 2008. It's kind of cool because I can read posts from as far back as January 2007. It's like a time machine. _________________ Kristian

Overall, it is a big improvement. Much cleaner and the interface is more user friendly.
I had some suggestions. However, as I was typing them, I noticed that they are still making changes to the index page and started replacing some of the setting links with more for sale products and, thereby addressing one of my issues with for sale products mixed in the right column with image links to settings.
I also can't help but wonder if the right column with the for sale products could be put to better use. We already have new products at the top and a shop link where one can view products for sale (when the setting image links were in the right column, I felt they would be better served on the game page freeing up the space for other things).
Other than that, I hope that they will also be getting rid of the text links on the game page and replacing them with image links and adding social media links to the front page.
Again, I still think the site is looking much better than the previous one. _________________ My compilation thread of Clint's advice, rules options, and design insight |

probably not. But I can't be the only one checking out the site on an iPad. And last time I checked, there were only two browsers available for that.
It's not as though the site crashes Safari or that it doesn't work. It's just a cosmetic thing.

It's pretty, and I see where it's going (with the in built store), but it's a bit all over the place with finding information now (going to the store gave me a big unsorted list of old DL products, one sheets and links to product free downloads, all in one paginated list).
Main thing I missed though was the news feed - that was my way of feeling the "pulse" of Pinnacle and new products. The boxes on the front page seem limited, news history has gone, and even the boxes are trimmed (they have "..." links, but these do nothing).
I guess I'm saying good direction, but too soon for the go live ? It's really pretty, but I feel more lost and disconnected after the visit - it feels like a lot of the content is missing. |

Site looks very nice! Quick question, though... My Account on the new site refers to...? Forum? Store? Both? |

I kind of hate the way the new site handles the free downloads. Navigation is a bit of a mess.
You can't even get the Test Drive rules. Anyone coming to the site looking for it (and the old, now-broken links still show up on searches) will be SOL. _________________ -- Patrick

The Test Drive rules are included in the Core bundle that can be downloaded from here:

Oops! Thanks for the reminder. I suppose I need to hunt through my various links (e.g., "You can find the test drive rules HERE") and update them all.
Anyway, it looks like I can still find downloads/freebies; I just have to look under the particular game system rather than a catch-all "downloads" page.
It looks like the "One-Sheets" page is still a collection of ALL the one-sheets, rather than broken up by system. (I actually prefer it this way, because sometimes I find an adventure for one setting can be fairly easily adapted for another.) _________________

I'm sorry to say that I really dislike the new look for the website. Maybe it's how Safari is working with it on my iPhone, but it looks a step backwards to me. My opinion won't be able to go back in time and prevent the change from happening, and I hate to be negative, but I felt I should offer my 2¢ on the change. _________________ When a man lies, he murders some part of the world |
