Okay all, asking for some help here.
I have (and have read) the core SS book. It has been decided that this will be the setting for our annual get together/mini-convention.
I basically have 5 sessions to put together the best run of Sundered Skies adventures.
The Plot Point Campaign is too big for this...I don't want to rush them all the way to Veteran, etc. In fact, this year we were hoping for a more gritty, 'low-level' style of play.
So, for those that have run Sundered Skies, got any ideas on which PDF adventures I should purchase? What adventures really capture the uniqueness of SS? Must have a ship battle somewhere for eg? Basically, which adventures do you most recommend and how many should I aim for to complete? (Guessing about 2 myself, so which 2 go together well)? _________________ "Best $1.80 I ever spent, Bob".

If you want a string of mainly "independent" adventures take Sundered Skies Compendium 1.
For a mini campaign, try the Songs of Remorse adventures, recently sampled into Compendium 2.
Because of the 5 sessions limit, i would take one or two of the adventures in Compendium 1, and add the Within the Skies encounters as fillers. Fate of the Summoner and Blade of Destiny would be my favorites here. _________________ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who know binary and those who don't. |

Hmm. I don't want to run PP campaign as I've seen enough world saving for a long time, so when I decide to run SS I want an alternative too. What kind of themes do Compendium adventures have? _________________

They are just the published PDF adventures with a dead tree trapping. These Savage Tales fit nicely with the main PPC or as a standalone.
There is a race, dungeon crawling, mystery, the usual stuff. The Song of Remorse is a short 3 part mini-campaignm where a simple job turns out to be something bigger, much bigger. _________________ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who know binary and those who don't. |

Thanks.
I have put in an order for the 2 Companions. But a long time waiting to get them to Australia (might just get a couple of the adventures on PDF too).
So any recommendations? ANyone actually played any of these?
I am really after something that captures the spirit of Sundered Skies, as we have not played the setting before, and I would like some of the major tropes to come out. (Seeking a sword hidden in an ice tower doesn't really sound like it is SS specific, but I could be wrong about that adventure). I am really looking for adventures that scream "this is Sundered Skies", not just fantasy that could be used elsewhere.
So, which adventures specifically?...and your experiences? _________________ "Best $1.80 I ever spent, Bob".
