They've updated to SW Deluxe, and added in the Supers companion. I can't honestly recommend the program yet, as its use is very limited.
If people with the skills could get permission to add in various settings, this thing would be worth its weight in gold for the setting specific compiled edges, powers, and hindrances, if nothing else.
I'm a huge fan of Hero Labs. But would love to see more SW stuff get put on it. |

Not used Hero Labs myself, tend to use Metacreator or a pad and pencil. I do quite like Metacreator but as far as I know it hasnt been updated to include SWD yet.
What in particular is so limiting about Hero Labs? |

While HL makes very pretty record sheets, the learning curve for figuring out how to add new material (say, data for a new Race or Edge) is exceedingly high.
MC is a little easier to use, but only in a relative sense. _________________ Be Aggressive,

Yeah I totally agree, hence why the majority of the time Ill be using pencil and a pad. |

Herolabs right now is just limited in whats available for it. I can't comment on the "making stuff for" part of it.
The only thing available for SW Hero lab is SWD and a couple of Companions.
This means you can't create a Deadlands Character without going in and adding the information yourself. Same with any other Savage Setting. |

So is the issue that the content is not included as is or that it is too hard to add new content? And if you could buy data for a new setting, say, for $5, would that solve the problem? _________________ Wild Card Creator: Any PDF. Any Setting. No Extra Cost.

Right now, its that there is simply a lack of data.
I have 0 problem paying for new data for the program. (Its something I've done alot for the Pathfinder liscense on Hero Labs). But right now, beyond the Companions, there's no other data for the program, except that which you author yourself. Something I don't really want to do... |

There are data sets out there. See this thread over on the Lone Wolf forums. They are fan created works. It is simple a matter of asking the creator to share them.

I like the sound of those DAR and RoC data files. _________________ Be Aggressive,
