| Is there a sourcebook (official or home-brewed) where I can find the stats for animals? |

| The new deluxe edition has stats for commom animals. Savagapedia Has some animal stats among the list of mooks and smonsters, too. Other than that I can't think of any books with stas specifically for animals. |

There are quite a few animals, though often giant versions in the Savage Free Bestiary _________________ Biting! It's like kissing but there's a winner!

Several of the Pulp books have various animal stats. Mostly jungle cats and dinosaurs (and really, what else do you need stats for? )
Deadlands has a few (bison, bears, etc).
Several of the S&S settings have mundane creatures (Beasts & Barbarians, Legends of Steel, etc).
And making NPCs is often faster and easier than hunting down their listed stats.
Any one in particular you're looking for? _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."

Yea, I'm finding out how quick and easy it is to stat out NPCs.

I was looking for the stats on rabbits. One of my players wants his character to be able shape change into a rabbit.
I know its pretty easy to stat creatures and beasties out, but since I'm new to Savage Worlds rules, I'm a little uncertain of what I end up with.
I found some stats for rabbits in the Savage Free Bestiary that Timon pointed me to. (Thanks Timon) |

Glad you found some.
Me, I'd just use the house cat stats, but call it a Rabbit and change the Bite/Claws to a Kick; and maybe remove low-light vision. _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."

It's the commoner's fault that he didn't learn to fight better than a cat. _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."

I like your suggestion of starting with the cat stats. I think I would change Pace to d8, remove the Climbing skill, drop the Bite/Kick damage to STR -1, and change the low-light vision to a +2 on Notice[Hearing — and maybe Smelling] rolls.
I might be thinking more of a Jackrabbit, but that's splitting hares.... |
