Sad news. As Sean announced on Facebook yesterday, he will be to attend MACE. He has pneumonia, and is not only ill but contagious for the next day or two.

On a positive note, Savages are amazing people. Before the end of last night, we already had two Savages agree to fill in for Sean's games. It was completely last minute, and the response was nothing less than "I'd love to help." You guys are awesome, and I want to give a shout out to the two who stepped up so willingly...

SavageGamerGirl (Erica) and Savage Greek (Nick)!

I also have to give a big thanks to Charles White of Fabled Environments who said he would provide one of their incredible modern maps free of charge to the people who filled in for those games (whether they needed it for the game or not). To clarify, neither of the above knew about the map before agreeing to run the games.

Anyway, just an awesome example that dark moments are just times that people can truly shine.

I had a great time at MACE this past weekend! It's always good to see everyone and meet new Savages. I'm trying to upload photos to Facebook but it's going at a snail's pace.

I had a fantastic time at MACE. I am looking into going to MaceWest but I generally don't plan that far in advance, but my attendance there is a definite maybe. Laughing

I'd also like to thank the players who signed up for Sean's game but were agreeable enough to stick around for my stand-in of an entirely different adventure.

And another big thank you for the five grown men and one young girl who showed up for an impromptu game of The Ponyville Horror on Sunday afternoon. Mr. Green

You too! I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to join us. It sort of came together all at once. I knew I wanted to try to run it, but getting an open table was difficult until late Sunday, and completely unplanned. I was free, Clint was free, he found other players for me that were free, so we snagged a table and setup. Very Happy

To confirm, yes, I played a pony. Firecracker to be precise... and it was AWESOME!

In fact, MACE was once more awesome all around. I can't thank enough the folks with MACE, the folks with the Grinning Goblin, and most of all the great gamers who made it such an incredible con once again. My only regret is that I can't be in more than one game at the same time.

Thanks! Though I admit, you guys made it more memorable than I did with Norm's scream and you... well, let's just say you successfully got a Shaken result on every game at a separate table. Laughing

I was really looking forward to Shanitar but Erica and Nick both did great (and Clint's fantasy game was good too). Erica, the Wild Hunt was interesting and fun and running it at the last moment could not have been simple but you did it well. I have downloaded it and it is a really good adventure and seeing how it was supposed to run I saw you did really great. Nick was ready to run an improv fantasy but we talked him into running his Conan game instead. Like good Savage games, it was fast and fun (of course we players kept trying to find ways to slow it down with bizarre ideas).

Thank you Nick and Erica (and Clint) for stepping in and doing great

Tommy

I had a wonderful time at MACE !!!!

Thanks to all the GMs that ran the SEVEN Savage Worlds games I played in. I had an amazing time. And I didn't really think the room would go silent after my scream but I guess my lungs are more powerful than I thought Clint. Very Happy

I regret that I didn't get to meet Sitting Duck in person. And that I didn't get to run a Shaintar game for Sean Patrick Fannon. You were missed Big Irish! I hope you (and Carinn) are feeling better.

It was great seeing all the Savages and meeting a bunch of new ones. Great gaming with you all!

MACE was again a great experience this year. Many thanks to all of my players and GMs for making it so.

Good gaming,

I had an AMAZING time at MACE!

I got to play in Mark's Agents Of Oblivion game and I really enjoyed playing a psychic spy. Great setting. I kept wanting to say “My name is Greek, Savage Greek!” LOL Laughing

I also played in Clint Black's Emergency Relief game. Nice twist! I really appreciated Clint letting me have special equipment..... my dog, a chiwawa named Fee-Fee. (I just realized, with a name like that the dog probably should have been a Poodle, but I was tired, ok!)

And Norm's screaming was just crazy. Surprised I thought someone was dying! The whole room went quiet (failed spirit roll...game-room sized burst template) but I hadn't realized who actually did the screaming until I read this forum. Good job Norm! I see many horror movie death scenes in your future.

I had a blast running Slipstream and Beasts & Barbarians. I tried very hard to kill Joel's Mercenary character in my B&B game but the dice were on his side. Twisted Evil Next time Joel....next time. Tommy (wgeddings) did a great job role playing a Monk while having a Vow of Silence! (Trust me...it was very fun to watch!) I'm very happy you enjoyed the game Tommy. It was my pleasure to cover the Shaintar game, but Sean P. Fannon was very much missed. Speedy recovery my friend.

It was awesome gaming with all the regular MACE Savages again, and it was a real pleasure meeting Norm, SavageGamerGirl, and many other new Savages!

I did skip a bit, namely the part about stumbling through the dark woods avoiding the huntsmen and hounds. Even with that portion left out, the game still ran a little longer than even I was expecting for such a short adventure. We left Savage Saturday Night behind and went an hour and a half into Savage Sunday Morning! Mr. Green

Joel, Pathfinder has living topiaries! http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/plants/living-topiary

Your Deadlands game needs SW versions! You can just animate that one my character left for ya. Smile

Btw, my con friends, I'm leading a kickstarter project that I'd love to have your support on:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/350683997/journeys-to-the-west-a-pathfinder-rpg-voyage

It's Pathfinder, but I posted in the Break Room to see if there would be interest in supporting if we did some SW conversion for it.

Beautiful Brains Chat tonight is the Post-MACE discussion.

I am willing to bet the phrase, "The cutie mark is not the issue here, Dude!" comes up. Laughing

I cannot believe My Little Pony had the Dude, Walter, Donnie, and Jesus in it. My brain may implode.

Has the whole world gone crazy? Am I the only one around here who gives a horseapple about the rules? Mark it zero! Laughing

There have been a few subtle and not-so-subtle pop culture references in the show before, but that one was by far the most blatant. I cracked up when I saw that!
