|
As a big treat for Halloween, we've released the Deluxe Edition of Suzerain - the Suzerain Pocket Universe Edition!
Suzerain is an Origins Award Nominee from the Savage Mojo design house (who brought you Shaintar and Gamescapes, and are Origins Award winners for Shanghai Vampocalypse). This edition of Suzerain is written for the Savage Worlds rule system (SW rulebook required), expanding the core rules in a number of key ways – a new approach to races is just the beginning.
Suzerain takes characters from one world to another or even to another time. History and fantasy, past present and future – they are all your playground now. Gaming groups just became...
...a pantheon in the making.
Inside the 206 page full color, hi-resolution PDF you’ll find:
* All the universe background you’ll need to run games in any time, any place.
* Over 50 new Edges, Hindrances and Powers.
* A vastly expanded system for characters once they hit Heroic rank, with plenty of emphasis on the Legendary experience, and introducing a whole new rank – Demigod.
* Updated for Savage Worlds Deluxe Edition
You can find it at our store by following this link:

Great!
Are you planning on releasing it as a physical book? |

My understanding is that it will be available as print-on-demand through Cubicle 7. I certainly know a few print copies have been done... They were at GenCon, and we're also selling them at some of the local conventions. I've bought one myself.
If no one else jumps in and gives an answer, I'll see what solid information I can track down and pass it on. _________________ Curtis and Sarah Lyon

Hello - Is this the same as Savage Suzerain but updated for SWD?
Or a new book altogether? |

It's Savage Suzerain in digest format, updated for Deluxe, but without the plot-point campaign and Savage Tales. It's good for Players or GMs. _________________ Aaron Acevedo

The printed version available at GenCon was b/w, and SM has lots of them, I know I carried at least one box of 40 of them from C7 booth to SM booth at GenCon. Thus...it's not POD, but printed through C7 and should be available to retailers should they decide to stock/order it.
I can't seem to find it listed on C7's site nor SM's site though...I'll ping Vickey and Martin and let them know... |

Sadly, while C7 printed Pocket Universe for GenCon, they aren't handling it as 'standard fare'. It is true that there are still print copies drifting around (Sarah and I have a few), but those aren't being sold through brick-and-mortar retailers. Aaron is working on setting up all the POD stuff, but unless you (generically speaking) can find someone how still has a leftover GenCon copy to sell, POD is going to be the only way to get a physical copy of the book. Unless you want to print and bind your own copy from the PDF, or something dramatically changes with Cubicle 7. _________________ Curtis and Sarah Lyon

Try this: Savage Mojo has released the .pdf files in a set that includes the full-color huge file and a small print-friendly file which you can download immediately. On top of this, the bundle includes the hard copy book sent to you as soon as it's released. Here's the link - Savage Suzerain Pocket Universe (Print + PDF bundle)
I've had a look at it. The material is a nice pared-down version of the full older book updated to be fully compatible with Savage Worlds Deluxe. This is great for GM or player use at conventions, not to mention the immediate gratification factor.
I'll be using some of this material in my "The Giggler Strikes Again" run at DundraCon, KublaCon, and CelestiCon this upcoming year. _________________ "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn." *SPLAT* |
