Here's the thread to discuss the various manufacturers of tokens and other bits that can be used to mark status on minis in play, or can be used as bennies.
Of course, Litko Aerosystems produces a set of official Savage Worlds tokens, and a bunch of other useful pieces besides. Check out their custom token service if you need something they haven't got. (Litko also makes great fire/explosion markers.)
I also use the Gale Force 9 wound markers, ignoring the ones bigger than 4.
What do you use? What's cool? Post up some links! _________________ Matthew Cutter

I don't think you Litko link goes where you intended it to. When I click on it I get a jpg of painted minis. _________________ When a man lies, he murders some part of the world |

| Is it permissible to post your own technique for making quality tokens, or should that be my own thread? |

It would be permissible... but a thread dedicated to making your own tokens would be pretty keen. _________________ Matthew Cutter

Currntly I'm using mini-golf arcade tokens for Bennies because they're hefty and my wife had a stockpile of them. _________________ My Savage Worlds Blog

I found some circular mosaic tiles at Michael's to use for Bennies, they have a nice weight to them, and the markings on them give a nice primitive/mystical feel to them. _________________ http://hsrpgclub.wordpress.com

A friend of mine, and home-beer brewer, uses bottle caps for bennies. If he ever runs a Fallout game it will be perfect, but they still work fine for most other settings. _________________ "Got a problem? I've got the solution: Rocket Launcher."

I would love to get hold of some of the body/corpse tokens that I have seen both Chaos Steve and Cutter using. I talked with both about them at Con on the Cob, and did check out Litko ... but all I could find there were some that looked like chalk outlines.

While they will do, I prefer the others. _________________ My delusions of grandeur are way bigger than yours! |

Yes, but thought that they were of much more limited use. _________________ My delusions of grandeur are way bigger than yours! |

I've used a variety of things for bennies including glass beads, small plastic poker chips, and these http://skullsvilleusa.com/skull_beads.php.
I also use the poker chips or glass beads for power points in settings where they are needed.
I have the Gale Force 9 wound marker in my 40k stuff, but never thought to break them out for SWEX/SWD use. Usually just let people track wounds on their character sheet since they need to carry over from one session to the next and I don't like having to move tokens with minis. May have to reconsider this though and just give them to the players rather than placing them next to the minis.
In my WotD campaign, I used the little flags that Jordan Peacock included in the figure flat set. These worked well and I will probably use them again when I use figure flats instead of minis. |
