All I was getting at, Crow, was that I find your "facts" questionable. Not just about the tetanus, but about most of your post. And, in fact, about most of your next post, as well.

My quip was intended to make such a point without taking an hour and a half out of my day to break apart every single thing you said, because really, I don't care all that much. Had I suffixed it with a winkey smiley, I'm sure you would have seen it was actually an eye-roll and not an attack.

My profuse apologies. I keep forgetting rhetoric is a dead art.

P.S. Please don't confuse Traditional Chinese Medicine with actual medical science. I fully support both practices, but carelessly tossing around protected titles like "Doctor" opens up a whole world of hyperbole and fact-snuffing that has NOTHING AT ALL to do with throwing stars.

The reason rust is associated with tetanus is because the farm and gardening implements people used to contract the disease from were A) metal and rusty and B) farm implements covered in dirt. Before microscopes had identified the germ, laypeople drew their own conclusions. NOTHING lives in rust.

I know the limits of my art and my studies. I will freely admit that the rust word was a carelessly used word but it is what I was told. I also know that I studied western medicine including Bio-chemi and pharmacology, western diagnosis, microbiology with a bend towards medicine. I have the same university medical training as a western doctor plus a lot more. (I assume you are talking about TCM based on the low quality of your local area) Also TCM grew up without western science but that does not mean that western science is not part of it now. A lack of sciences does not mean a lack of observation or logic. TCM is a very strong healing method as shown by many well designed western science experiments but that is off topic. (Some western experiments are REALLY bad too both in design and execution and others are made to mislead by companies that are only interested in profit. Science is not the golden standard or reality, but it is the best that we have.)

If you want to say something about the rest of what I said please do but stay with facts. What do you think is wrong and why? I personalty have been to Japan, seen the real stars and I have read almost every book published on ninja. Some are very bad fiction presented as fact others are very interesting and well researched. What is your basis? What have you studied? What have you seen?

Rhetoric art is not dead but email is different. You are working with people from may cultures and many languages for example I live in Germany. For all I know you live in the USA or China or maybe Fiji. We have may ideas about speaking and the meaning of words. You can't use many of the more sutler forms and expect people to understand.

I'm not interested in pursuing this. This is not the proper arena.

Off topic, but my last D&D game was insanly high magic. Every third level mage got a +1 dagger for being part of a magical guild, the dagger was a simple +1 with a ability to cast the read magic spell at will. The dagger was a crystal (You read magic by reading through the dagger). Anyways a group came acrost a rust monster around level 4, the only one who had a weapon at the end was the +1 Dagger

Of course, he'd be investing 5 edges to do so, would need to have a Str d8, Throwing d10, and need to be at least Seasoned (providing he took Improved Weapon Focus at character creation*).

Just take Weapon Finesse (really cool edge design, there), altering it to Agility d8 and 6 edges. Nixes the Strength requirement and makes the rest of it much more easily accomplished. Damage suffers a bit, but is still impressive.

In AD&D, a crystal or prism is a required material component for casting Read Magic. I like the dagger idea: it's a spell focus, a guild identifier, and, for a different character, a cherished family heirloom.

Luckily the kids today dont see shuriken as superdeadly wepaons anymore. So we dont need such discussions.

Today they love kunai's, simple throwing daggers with a ring at the end. In my youth I didnt even know this things.
Ninjas throw a hail of shuriken, not kitchen utensils.
Damn Naruto!
