Are there any correlations between the actual reaction (=position on the reaction table) and the lying roll?
Eg: Does a lie change the position on the table or does the position influence the difficulty of the roll?
I'm asking because until now I've only used Persuasion to change the reaction but never as an opposed roll for a specific lie, but I'm trying to include this possibility in my game
As it states under Notice, it applies to "...scrutinizing other characters to see if they’re lying..."
Persuasion states that it is the skill used to "trick others into doing what you want." And that has been clarified on the forums before that tricking others includes lying and deceiving them. See these posts...

Well, it certainly wouldn't affect an NPC lying to a PC since those rules aren't used in that case. If it applies to a PC lying to an NPC would depend on the specific lie, intent, and the GM's determination. _________________ Clint Black
