I am going to run my group through the main cannon of hoe, but i need a little help. which adventures do you consider to be a major part of the story, and what order do you think they should be run?

I've found that most of the HoE adventures were published in order. The ones that I can think that are a part of the metaplot are the ones like:
Boise Horror, Destroyer, and Something about a sword
Air force 1
Unity (of course)

those kinds of adventures.

Sorry I can't be more of a help, but my books are on another continent at the moment.

The adventures that are essential to the meta-plot are:

Boise Horror module
Air Force One is Down (Denver)
Jihad! (City o Sin)
The Unity module

One that expands on the story but isn't essential to the meta-plot is The Destroyer (The Last Crusaders).

The others are good to bring your opsse up to the levels needed for the four "campaign" enders listed above. The Destroyer is a good advneture to bring your posse to the attention of the Templars and get them in a position to logically be involved in The Boise Horror.

Hope that helps.

thank you to both of you. That really helps out. as most of the group is new, my plan is to run a story involving a willow wight that is sort of a servitor (just a little more juiced up) so it can hold it's illusion through the day also. just to get them used to the game, then somthing about a sword, destroyer, boise horror, air force one, jihad, then the unity. then i will figure it out from there. i may throw in infestations and some other stuff in case they need to be more powered up. also will probably throw in urban renewal.

You should throw in Killer Clowns. Haven't read the adventure but I love the idea behind it. Very Deadlands (tongue in cheek and urban legend).

I ran Killer Klowns and my posse LOVED it. It both scared the bejebus out of them one moment and piss their collective pants laughing the next (before scaring them again)... It made them want more so the only problem with it (as voiced by my posse) was that they wanted to explore the other islands in the future. I started making up a map and so forth for a future game but it never came around...

i could get them down south sometime and throw that in as well as hell or high water. havent really read through it yet, but i will soon enough, and i loved killer klowns. could have infestations along the way, something has to happen on the trip from north west to the gulf, too much ground to cover without something big happening. i mean, a few muties and black hats is good for between towns, but something bigger has to happen between states. i was thinking of making an adventure based off of repo the genetic opera. like a town filled with glamor pusses and tin men and surgery addicts. wasn't there something in one of the books like that?

Off the top of my head (minus the tinmen) that sounds like Movie Town...

It's not part of the Metaplot, but Urban Renewal is amazing. My only regret with my shortlived HOE campaign is it didn't last long enough for me to inflict UR on the party. Biodome 2 is fun as well, as is the adventure from the back of Road Warriors.

It sounds like a quote from the GM material for City o' Sin, especially given the problems with the hospital as run by Silas. The line itself sounds like something from an actual Deadland.

Just keep in mind the following (spoiler heavy):
Quote:
After the Unity, they won't be in Hell on Earth, and getting them back to it will be a hellish adventure of it's own. Use the Unity at your own risk, and only when you're ready to get the posse on trail to end the threat of the Reckoners forever.

Good luck.
