Not sure if this has been discussed yet but how is it that some monsters hit me first even though my speed is higher than theirs?

I appreciate that, but it does seem as though you really have to outnumber the monster's speed to attack first.

Heh, sorry, not much else to tell ya on this...there's simply a random component to it. Higher speed = higher chance to go first.
