What the heck is a fit flop? |
I Googled it. They're flip flops designed for heavy walking. And now you know. |
Oh, trust me, we all knew what a fit-flop was by the end of that game. Now, everytime I see the word, I snicker. _________________ Clint Black

We could invite some of the HEX guys over. I know Tom Cadorette was interested in trying SW. _________________ Ron Blessing

I drove to Origins with Tom last year. He's a good egg. _________________ Matthew Cutter

Like Beetlejuice, mention me thrice and I shall appear.
I'm looking forward to some SW at Origins, and will happily attend this Saturday event, assuming I'm welcome!
Thanks to Ron for throwing my name into the hat, to Cutter for referring to me as a good egg (which is the Southern equivalent of the Yiddish "he's a mensch!", and to Bretbo for just being Bretbo. |

Which licensees plan on having a presence at Origins?
I know Reality Blurs and Talisman will be represented but who else is coming. _________________ Mark Swafford

I'll be at GenCon for Daring Entertainment, but I'll only be popping in for a bit on Saturday at Origins. _________________ Mike Dukes |

I originally, wasn't going to attend Origins this year... in fact I've never attended before. However, I just got a call today from a friend who going to run a booth at the con and in return for running a few demos (and paying my share of the room) I get to go! Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to get away Saturday night and join in on the fun! _________________ Be Aggressive,

Just signed up to the forums to say that a buddy and me are looking to try the system out. Our only SW experience was an Iron Dynasties Showdown game at Origins last year, which was a blast. We primarily play 3.5 D&D, but we are dabbling in 4E. However, we aren't complete sold on that yet, so we're looking to explore other systems. I think we would prefer to get into a fantasy game, as we would like to see the combat and magic systems in play. _________________ Mark

Welcome to the forums!
You couldn't have picked a better convention to play Savage Worlds (well except for Con on the Cob )
For fantasy games, there's usually some Shaintar being run at Origins. However, there are a lot of Savage Settings that have lots of combat and magic.
If you have any questions just post...this forum is filled with friendly people ready to help you any way they can. _________________ "Well, not a hard man to track. Leaves dead men whereever he goes."

Hmmm.... ya know, SPF won't be at Origins this year. Perhaps I will run a pick up game or two of Shaintar in his honor. We shall see.... _________________ Norm "No Relation" Hensley |

I hung out with Bretbo last night, and he suggested maybe we ought to get organized here. I agreed.
So if you post the game you're going to run on Saturday night (title, description, no. of players, what have you), I'll edit it into the first post of this thread, with blank slots for sign-ups. If you'd rather, you can PM or e-mail me the blurb.
Then all one has to do to "sign up" is post their intentions in this thread, and I'll add them to the roster in post 1.
How'zat strike everyone? It's a bit "official" for a Savage Saturday, but with all the new folks who want to check it out it might be more user-friendly. _________________ Matthew Cutter

Thanks. I might have to check out Con on the Cob as well. It isn't that far of a drive.
Our current plan is to go the Savage Worlds seminar on Saturday and meet people. Then hopefully get into a game during the open play that night. _________________ Mark

There's usually five to seven games running. I'm sure you can get in somewhere.

Hiya!
Thanks for the nice words. Glad you dug Iron Dynasty! Stacy and I will be at the show, so be sure to come by the booth and say hi! We're planning on having sign up sheets and hope to run a variety of pick up games ranging from Agents of Oblivion to RunePunk (yes, that certainly includes Iron Dynasty and Realms of Cthulhu).
Take care,

Hey Mark,
Nice to have ya on the forums! I think you'll find this a great group of guys and gals.
I'm glad you liked my Showdown game enough to come check out more of what the system has to offer. Origins is a great con to get in tons of Savage goodness. Your group shouldn't have any problems finding games to get into.
Stop by the Studio 2 booth and say "Hi". _________________ Stacy Young
