Ok, so I just saw a little of "Kung Fu Panda" Has anyone done over-the-top kung fu (like "Iron Monkey" or a little less over-the-top than "Crouching Tiger/Hidden Dragon"), or a savaging of "Dragonfist"?
Thanks,

| A savaged dragonfist would be cool. |

Perhaps Clint's Modern Martial Arts (available on the Reality Blurs web site, I think) and the martial arts rules from DL:R could be blended together to create a decent over-the-top kung fu game? Seems like a decent place to start.
I'm not familiar with Dragonfist, but would be interested to learn more.

Kung fu panda was a great movie!
I found something in Deadlands reloaded with AB (Chi) where you can choose powers for your style and have several martial arts styles too. (as an edge I guess)
I would be interested if there is anywhere a "wuxia" style mod out there. |

And that Edge (Superior Kung Fu, if memory serves) gets another level added to it in The Flood with the Celestial Kung Fu Edge. Lots of other kung fu and combat Edges as well. _________________ Matthew Cutter

Interesting. Can you tell me what "the flood" is? I cannot find it in the DL. |

Dragon Fist was a project by Chris Pramas for Wizards of the Coast. It uses a heavily-modified 2nd ed. AD&D system to model "wuxia" type action. It's loaded with great stuff, but ultimately hampered by being tied to AD&D. It was available as a free download for a while, but it was yanked when they sold it to Green Ronin, who never did anything with it. I still have my old pdf from when it was freely available. I found an archived verstion of it here:

Thanks, I looked at it, and that should help. I'm hankering to do a Savage Dragon Fist (if no one else has). |

I'm wondering if you couldn't take Eden Studios' Enter The Zombie supplement and convert some of the figures over to Savage Worlds.
The book seems to lay out a lot of the kung fu stuff pretty well. _________________ TC Games and More - A Reservoir Of Pop Geek Culture Knowledge |

Deadlands: The Flood is an upcoming Plot Point Campaign book for Deadlands:Reloaded, focused on the Great Maze region. Should come out later this year, if I recall correctly. Look for info on it on the main site. |

Hopefully much sooner than that! Possibly as early as next month. _________________ Matthew Cutter
