Greetings Savages,
Here is my POTSM campaign. I shall begin with a break down of the current crew both WC and NPC and hopefully begin the tale of their first adventure. If it is to the liking of you all I shall continue till it is up to date.

The Players
Captain Torquil: Captain of the Port Aurthor, pilot extraordinaire and acrobatic. His command is rarely questioned but some question his cocky manner and his habit of attracting trouble like a magnet.

Keith O'Keif: First Mate/Quartermaster of the Port Aurthor. This Irish musketeer and marksman can hit any target he can see with his rifled musket "Erin". Family and honor draw this cautious man to the Spanish Main his eyes are sharp...to bad he's deaf as a post.

Vincent Guilseppe: This Academy of the Sea student is quick with his knives. He closes in and fights with an acrobatic style from inside his opponents reach. His habit of speaking before thinking causes trouble but his overconfidence will grant him his wish and death will take him in her cold embrace.

Steve: This brawny warrior uses his ambidextrous approach to fighting to wield a longsword in each hand. His deadliness with his blades has left many a man dead but has left him arrogant. His stubbornness and greed has also left him on the wrong side of the law.

A fifth player joined the group much later and he will be introduced then.

The Crew
Thomas Caldwaller: A skilled surgeon and healer. He is kept constantly busy aboard ship. When off ship he keeps himself busy with a fine assortment of beauties in every port.

Snake Tom: Old as sin and wise as the day is long he acts as adviser and general spokes man for the crew. Ends most of his sentences with "Says I"

Sam Bloodsmear: This blond haired sailor rarely speaks when he does it is usual of such profound importance that ALL people listen to him.

Albert Fiddler: Sailor, fighter. His boarding axe is never far from his grasp. When nervous or talkative he can normally be found with axe and whetstone in hand as he talks to you.

Many thanks to Legion Publishing for their Tabletop Heroes: Age of Piracy my crew would not be complete with out them.

I fear I have started too late, I shall begin to tell of their first adventure tomorrow. Till then fair winds and following seas says I.

And so begins the first tale of the crew of the Port Aurthor.

The Port Aurthor had been docked in Plymouth on the island of Montserrat for several days to take on fresh supplies and give the ships crew a chance to unwind. The captain and his first mate were drinking together in a small tavern further away from the docks. That night the tavern was fairly well packed, the clientele being for the most part, captains of ships who could afford to spend a few extra coins on a quiet meal and drink far from the boisterous crowds of the dock side bars.

As the night wore on the tavern door opened to admit a young woman. Her manner of dress and the worried look upon her face told of a woman not used to frequenting taverns of this type. She began circulating around the room, stopping at each table and talking to each of the captains. At each table she received a polite head shake or, in one case a not so polite grab. With each rejection she looked more and more desperate.

Finally she approached Captain Torquil and his first mate Mister O'Keif. She introduced herself as Eliza "I am a maid and Milady's confidant."
"Milady has asked for a letter to be sent out on the morning tide would your ship be capable of doing this for the right price?"

The Captain and his crew were always in need of coin to upkeep the Port Aurthor and fill their pockets but what of the details.
The letter, unopened must be delivered to Lieutenant Edmund Browne of HMS Resiliant which was on maneuvers in and around St. Croix. The ship would be there for at least another ten days or so. The payment five hundred pieces of eight. Not wanting to look too eager Captain Torquil countered with five hundred fifty pieces and an English National Ensign to fly when need may arise.

With relief Eliza agreed but said she would need to get the flag delivered to them first thing in the morning. She handed over the letter sealed shut with wax and a purse of 550 pieces of eight. With that Eliza departed, no one noticed the one man who paid particular attention to the whole transaction leave. After finishing their drinks the Captain and Mister O'Keif began to head back for the ship to make preparation for departure come morning tide.

Meanwhile down near the docks Vincent Guilseppe and Steve had decided to get into the wealth redistribution business. With Vincent's keep eyes and Steve's stealthy fingers they acquired several dozen pieces of eight from unwary and mostly drunken sailors. Realizing that the pickings would only get smaller as the night wore on they decided to head back for the ship. Upon reaching the end of the dock they met up with the captain and first mate and together walked up the gangplank onto the Port Aurthor only to be greeted by a dozen Spaniards not the crew member they left on watch.

"The letter!" demanded Lorenzo Martinez de Garcia "Give it to me now and you will save yourselves a lot of pain."

To be continued Says I.
