Does anyone know of anything like this out there? I want to show my teenage group that there is more to RPGing other than just fighting all the time.

If you don't mind doing some conversion, and you can find it "The Veiled Society" one of the old D&D 'Basic' Modules contains the sort of thing I reckon you're looking for. _________________ Currently Playing:

That's easy enough...

What genre are you looking at hemepositive? That'll help narrow things down. _________________ I'm not an adversarial GM. I am a facilitator of awesomeness. - Dr Rotwang |

Fantasy would be the preferable genre.
How much work would you estimate is in doing the module conversion? As in how many hours?
thanks |

I did it in about 15 minutes.
Step 1) Read adventure and understand plot
Step 2) Throw out D&D stats
Step 3) Input appropriate Savage Worlds stats using the Fantasy Bestiary/Guesswork. _________________ Currently Playing:

Nah, Noble Deceit is a dungeon crawl. Its a great module if you take into account the tiles, figure flats, and pre-gens but its not what he's looking for I don't think.
Highwater War might be an interesting choice. The characters lead armies to battle but not as soldiers. Its all about diplomacy and leadership. There are some fights but it has a very heavy emphasis on role-playing. I bought this when it came out but have yet to run it although I've been dying to. _________________ I'm not an adversarial GM. How about converting a Rippers scenario to a fantasy setting?
It's already Savage Worlds, and It's an easy convert to fantasy.
I suggest the The Third Hand as being very suitable. There is a fight on a train, but with a bit of thought it could be given a suitable fantasy twist.
Alternatively, can I point you at the pdf scenarios for Sundered Skies. They are a bit setting specific, obviously, but I think that Ice Tower gives you what you want, and would be the easiest adjust to an un-sundered world.
Hope that helps _________________ Cheers

Hi,
Triple Ace Games have just released something that might fit your needs... It's called The Danbury Curse
| Quote: | In an ancient land lie dark secrets!
Our heroic retinue has arrived in the marshy land of East Anglia. It seems to be gripped by a permanent winter that has made the local marsh people turn to the pagan gods hoping they can return the true order of the seasons.
All is not what it seems as our heroes discover an oasis of good weather keeping the Danbury lands in permanent summer. They soon discover an ancient devilish pact with an ancient folk called the Fae has secured this false summer. Can they uncover the truth of the Fae and more importantly break the curse?
Find out more in The Danbury Pact, a brand new adventure from Triple Ace Games for Daring Tales of Chivalry. |
