The face plate was actually an artisitic decision for the Graphic Novels, when we first design him in 2003. Allows us to use reflection to good effect, like Xomebehemoth in the DoL cover (and even description in the novel).

One of my players has an armored character with a similar faceplate on his helmet. He used it for "Randy's only defense" (If you've seen "A Christmas Story", you know what I mean Wink

).

A powerful sorcerer from ancient Egypt had found his way to the present and the team were battling him in the tomb from which he had awakened. The armored hero got hit hard, slammed into a wall and then fell to the ground. Rather than getting up, he lay there and didn't move. Because he had that mirrored visor, the bad guy couldn't see his eyes and assumed he was unconscious or dead, allowing the hero to get a sneak attack from behind.

Anyway, that became known as "Randy's Only Defense" in our game. So that's one more thing Vanguardian has over everyone else. Mr. Green

If you look closely, you'll see one of the statues for Arbor Square in the lower left.

The linking bridges in the background, right.

The edge of Solitaire Island (home to the Solitaire Island Federal Prison . . . for Neos) in the upper left.

Docks for Beauman Straights . . .

Butch did a hell of a job putting landmarks from the book/setting in there.

It also shows the sense of Heroic action, without being boggled down.
