Once again sharkbytes comes through for the win. Their 'Golem Knights' in Volume 2 issue 2 could make a kick ass guymelef if tweaked a little.
(From sharkbytes Volume 2 Issue 2)
The Golem-Knights
The Golem-Knights were imported from across the sea. They came to the City of the Shark as a gift from the Great Wizards of the furthest coast of Forniacal. They are an ancient magic from a forgotten time. While the power of the Golem-Knights is impressive, Lord Hensley still has his doubts of the intentions of the Great Wizards, as it is their way to conquer or destroy smaller holdings. The following stats reflect the abilities of the Golem-Knight armor. The wearer of the armor retains all other abilities, but is treated as a Wild Card while in the armor. When the armor falls, the wearer can emerge from it, Shaken, but otherwise
unharmed.
Attributes: Agility d8, Strength d12+2
Skills: Fighting d12
Pace: 10; Parry: 8; Toughness: 15
Gear: 2 huge Swords (Str+5)
Special Abilities: Ambidextrous, Arcane Resistance,
Combat Refl exes, Improved Frenzy, Large, Thick Armor
(Toughness 15)
I think it captures the 'standard' guylemelf pretty well. Maybe just give the more advanced ones some generic powers. What you guys think? |

Not to nit pick but Small tends to mean someone 3 to 4 feet tall, Napoleon was about five foot six.

You should have seen how he was portrayed in that one episode of Pinky and the Brain.
As I understand it, the belief that Napoleon was a runt came from a combination of British propaganda and the fact that measurements hadn't been standardized on an international level. As mentioned above, Napoleon was 5'6". While not particularly impressive nowadays, it was about average height for men at the time. However, in the inches used in France at the time, he was 5'2". _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. Profiles for Le Chevalier d'Eon (the Gothic horror anime series centered around France's most famous transvestite spy) are up. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. I mean-- The rabbit-- It's a time-tested-- Okay, the rabbit bites.

The profiles for Oban Star-Racers are now up. Just go to the origin post.

Le Chevalier d'Eon
Gun Frontier
Jekyll
Oban Star Racers
The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.
Scrapped Princess |
Since posting that, I've managed to write up profiles for seven of those titles. I'm about to start plowing through my Futurama DVDs (and will be using Slipstream to aid me) and Scrapped Princess is up next in my Netflix queue. I just might be able to do all of them by the end of the year. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. Good news everyone! It turns out Wiggy was able to start up TAG by embezzling most of PEG's liquid assets. Wait a minute, that's not good news. But something that is good news is that I've finally gotten around to posting Savage Worlds profiles for the cast of Futurama. The link is in the origin post. (BTW I was just kidding about Wiggy there.) _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. I mean-- The rabbit-- It's a time-tested-- Okay, the rabbit bites.

Of those titles, I have done all but Get Smart and Wild, Wild West. I should have the latter done before the year's end. The former's a bit problematic though. Would you believe that all five discs for Season One of Get Smart are listed as Very Long Wait at Netflix? So it could be a while before I get to those. As a replacement of sorts, I'm going to try out a science fiction anime series called Starship Operators. Though the prosaic title and mixed reviews could be regarded as a turn-off, the premise is intriguing. Essentially it concerns a military starship which was on a shakedown cruise when their homeworld was attacked and the government capitulated. However the crew doesn't intend to give up as easily. But without funding they're screwed. So they've signed a contract with a galactic network to be the subject of a reality show.
Here are a few other titles I'm considering doing in the next year (though this is not set in stone).
Schlock Mercenary
Wallace and Gromit
Girl Genius
Babylon 5
Order of the Stick
Msytery Science Theater 3000 _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. I mean-- The rabbit-- It's a time-tested-- Okay, the rabbit bites.

New profiles are up, this time for The Wild, Wild West. It's Conrad and Martin and not Smith and Kline, I'm sure you're relieved to hear. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. I mean-- The rabbit-- It's a time-tested-- Okay, the rabbit bites.

I've just posted profiles for Project Blue Earth SOS, an excellent pulpy SF anime that employs the most fun aspects of Fifties-style SF. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. I mean-- The rabbit-- It's a time-tested-- Okay, the rabbit bites.

Well, I've just finished writing up Savage profiles for every CONTROL and KAOS agent to have appeared on the Sixties spy spoof Get Smart. Would you believe it, every one of them. Would you believe every CONTROL and KAOS agent who appeared in more than one episode? How about just Max and 99? Well anyway, the link to the blog post in question can be found in the origin post of this thread. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. Profiles for GunXSword (described by one wit as being like a gender-switched Kill Bill with giant robots, though that's a gross simplification) are now up. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly. Kids like little cuddly sidekicks. I mean-- The rabbit-- It's a time-tested-- Okay, the rabbit bites.

Savage everything, huh? How about the Savage Worlds of Beatrix Potter.

A minor update. After having read the Player's Guide pdf for The Flood, I've gone and added the Improved Counterpunch Edge to the profile of James West of The Wild, Wild West. _________________ The rabbit is cuddly.
