Ah, I see you've been to Kitchener/Waterloo, Ontario, where the deranged and twisted Mennonites who built the city named every street after a different king, and decided to shorten it for convenience to "King Street".
King Street runs north, south, east, AND west, and IS Highway 8 as well as paralleling Highway 8 and crossing Highway 8 in three places. And that's just King Street, not King's Street, King Avenue, the King Parkway, King Boulevard, or any of a dozen other streets. And, of course, the similar number (but, thankfully, not distance) of Queen streets.
The natives think this is all very funny. I want to stab them with a fork.
