You typically take Acrobatic at creation because it's a Background Edge, and it gives you a bonus to Agility-based checks like Tricks.

But Acrobat is a Professional Edge.

I would use the simple conversion for melee damage:

+1 = d4
+2 = d6
+3 = d8
+4 = d10
Etc.

If something seems weird, check the SWEX, find the closest weapon, and go with that.
