MidSouthCon Appearance

Pinnacle at Dragonmeet 07

Pinnacle’s UK demos continue with Dragonmeet in London on December 1st. If you’re in the area, come down and say hi to the hard-working Pinnacle staffers. We’ll have a range of products on sale and Shane Mclean, our UK demo guru will be running Savage Worlds games throughout the day.

It’s time to get your Con on Savages! This weekend Andy Hopp and the good people at Con on the Cob host the 2nd Gathering of Savages in Akron, Ohio. Evil Mike & Chaos Steve will once again be on site pulling out all the stops as they’ve done all Summer showing off the latest in Savage Worlds including Solomon Kane and the upcoming Sundered Skies! If you’re able to make it, this is one of our favorites!

Gencon Convention Reports: Part 1

Gencon 2007 was a great show and over the next few weeks Pinnacle will be bringing you reports from across the company to give you a PEG eye view of the festivities from Indy to England.


First up is the tale from our fearless Game Masters and all around amazing demo team, Evil Mike and Chaos Steve.  As the leaders of our Savage Worlds Explorer’s Society they’ve taken the time to write down their experience and made it available on the Explorer’s Society website as a PDF download.

Wednesday Bonus: Pinnacle at GenCon UK

GenCon UK is looming large this weekend, and for the first time Pinnacle will have a booth at the show! Come on over to Reading this weekend check out Fast Furious Fun. We will have a full range of Savage Worlds books on hand and available for purchase including Savage Worlds Explorer’s Edition, and limited quantities of the Savage World of Solomon Kane!

 

The Con is your chance to meet the PEG core team of Robin Elliott, Dave Blewer, and Piotr Korys, Wiggy and Simon. As an add bonus Evil Genius Wiggy will be signing books and dropping hints about forthcoming projects on Thursday and Friday.

 

Those looking to pick up their dice and play will be happy to know Dave Blewer will be running sessions of the forthcoming Sundered Skies setting and other members of the team will be running pick-up games of other Savage Worlds titles throughout the show. All you need to do stop by the booth and ask when the next game is.

 

So come down! Walk the Path of Kane, preview the Sundered Skies, get your own copy of SW:EX and talk with the crew at Reading for the best four days of gaming in the UK.

Raising Kane At Noon 8.17

We’ll be raising Kane next Friday at GenCon Indy, when the long awaited and highly anticipated Savage World of Solomon Kane goes on sale. Come at 12:00 Noon on August 17th to Pinnacle’s booth #423 as we unveil the finished book and make the Savage World of Solomon Kane available for the first time anywhere!

Grab your chance to get one of 50 limited edition release packs that will be made available only at GenCon Indy. There will only be 200 copies of the book on hand for the show and no more will be available until the end of October, when the book will see wide release to retailers. Numbers are limited and it is first come, first served, so be sure to be there at Noon to get your copy!

We’ll be raising Kane in style with the whole band for an afternoon of book signing and Kane talk. Pinnacle’s Kane aficionado and living Solomon encyclopedia Shane Hensley will be on hand to sign books at Noon. Interior art contributor Cheyenne Wright will also be there to pen his name across your pages. At 4:30, special guest and Kane cover artist Matt Wilson will also be at the booth to sign and visit with fans.

Pinnacle’s Pirate Charity & Events

Avast! GenCon be upon us and this year we Pinnacle Pirates are helping out Rupert’s Kids.


We’ll be making special “Pirate Charity Packs” available at our booth (#423) for a special price that include our own Pirates of the Spanish Main Role Playing Game, limited edition items from Wizkids’ Pirates line, Pirates sets from Gale Force 9, music to play by from Victory Records, and cool pirate treasures from Pyrates of the Coast and Piratemod.com. 100% of proceeds from these packs will go to Rupert’s Kids and you get the booty all to yourself!


Rupert himself will be on deck in our Pirates of the Spanish Main Charity Role Playing Game Event on Saturday. Two games will run in Wabashaw 1 starting at 10:00am and 3:00pm where the Pinnacle Crew will guiding want-to-be Pirates in the quest for Rupert’s hidden treasure provided by Historylives. But there’s more to do than play!


Come to the Charity game and give your loudest Yar for special prizes from Savage Energy! Get your hands on shanties from Victory Records.  We’ll have chest loads of loot to give away and plenty of chances to wave pirate flags, taunt the players, and cheer for Rupert! Pinnacle GenCon Guest: Artist Cheyenne Wright

The march of Pinnacle’s GenCon guests continues! Pinnacle fan-favorite artist Cheyenne Wright will be showing off his skills and greeting fans the whole of Gencon Indy at the Pinnacle’s Booth # 423 this month.

Cheyenne is originally from Hawaii where his first cartoons were published in a Gary Larson-inspired strip called “The Wright Angle”. The master of pen and paper now has landed in Seattle spending most of his days doing freelance art for Pinnacle Entertainment, Cheapass Games, as well as TV personality and foodie guru Alton Brown. But Cheyenne’s work goes well beyond the game industry and fans will recognize his remarkable feats as the colorist of the Eisner Award nominated Girl Genius comic by Studio Foglio.

At Pinnacle Cheyenne’s artistry can most recently be found in the pages the upcoming Savage Worlds of Solomon Kane which will see it’s world début at Gencon Indy on Friday, August 17th. His images can also be found splashed across the pages of Pinnacle’s popular RPGs Rippers, Necessary Evil, 50 Fathoms, Evernight, Tour of Darkness, and the Savage World’s Adventure Deck.

Survivor’s Rupert a Pinnacle Pirate at Gencon Indy

The tie-die clad Survivor Pearl Island and Survivor All Star fan favorite Rupert Boneham will be joining Pinnacle Entertainment at Gencon Indy this August for a celebration of the Pirates of the Spanish Main Roleplaying Game.  Everyone’s favorite Survivor and GenCon Media Guest of Honor will be on site in Indianapolis playing in Pirates of the Spanish Main RPG events, signing autographs, and talking about his book, “Just Being Me” And his new CD “I Saw You On TV: Reality TV Stars Volume One.”

 

Rupert will be playing in two large-scale Pirates of the Spanish Main RPG events on Saturday where players will crew their own pirate ships in a bid to win Rupert’s treasure! The charity event games will benefit the Rupert’s Kids organization and also feature Pinnacle’s own Captain, and past GenCon Industry guest of honor, Shane Hensley. Players will be treated to a wild Pirate game and free Pirates product from Wizkids Games and other Pirate themed prizes!

 

Come by the gencon booth for times and pick up a Rupert’s Kid’s Charity pack to support the cause!
